  A Reminder for Newbies of the Watchtowers False Predictions

  when jw's are confronted with the fact their organisation has made several false predictions concerning the time of the end, they have various excuses they use to wiggle their way out.. i thought it would be interesting for them to see how their organisation meets the qualifications as a false prophet way back back in 1922 ...3 years after they said they were chosen as gods channel after a 1919 inspection of them by jesus himself when he cleansed the temple.

  they claimed they were free from babylonish bondage and adorned as a bride for her husbandly owner...jesus.

  did abraham, isaac and jacob return to earth in 1925 as predicted by the watchtower?

  Dear Mentalist.....I'm guessing that you are a young lady about 20..But that is by the by.

  Your KH talks may not mention the dusty old stuff and be up-to-date but unfortunately your beliefs are still determined by beliefs expoused 120 years ago.

  Have you ever had a birthday party? Why not? Just because John the Baptist got his head cut off? It is all soooo stupid.

  Do you really believe that you should cover your head when you talk on the platform? (Paul really didn't like women much). When you get married do you believe that your husband should be head of the household just as Jesus is head of the church?

  Naah..I don't think that you believe any of that crap. But having bought up in it, it is pretty hard to shake off. Just hang around with us for a while and put up with us if sometimes we act stupid.

  hello....found out about this forum last year when i was starting to go back to the meets.

  i found real encouraging words that spoke to me at the time.

  they helped me realize that i was going to the meets just to make my family happy again!

  Absolutely valid point....but I'm noticing an absence of lurkers butting in since the Jan 15 Watch Tower which warned Dubbers of mixing with Apostates on the net.

  I was hoping that Mentalist was one but I think that uncle scared him/her off.

  I really miss PMJ.

  Kingdom Hall demonstration Memorial night

  this will take place on wednesday, april 12,2006, the jehovah's witnesses memorial night.

  I just got hold of the WTS Aust branch 2005 Financial Report

  as mentioned in another thread, the watchtower bible & tract society of australia is refusing to give me my personal records, though i believe they are supposed to under the aust privacy act.

  they claim to not be under the legislation, which exempts businesses with less than 3 million turnover.

  anyway, i purchased their financial report that is lodged with asic to find out what the turnover is ($16million).

  dear all,.

  i thought i'd best make a new thread rather than add my message to the vigil thread, for example, as it might not otherwise get noticed.. yesterday afternoon i was allowed home from the hospital - but only until wednesday morning!

  as many of you will know, i have been in christie cancer hospital in manchester, england, ready to undergo a stem cell transplant (in my case, stem cells taken from my blood to be returned later).
