Why did this happen? who knows. The society have given little comfort, the local congregation hate his name and everyone is trying to cover this tragedy up. Blacked the victim name and keep the congregations name clean...another example of the "love" that jws have amongst themselves? This is so sad, I really feel for him and those he left behind, and the congregation's reaction is shocking, but not surprising

letters from the society etc to shrewbury conga and some of the kent congs.. one andrew spicer, pioneer who married early april 2005 in a kent congregation moved to shrewsbury area with his new wife to pioneer.
by 22 may 2005 he was dead.

by Gill ini had a morning and a half today.. i had put together some information on the paul berry case and how the wtbts had spent around $500,000 of publishers donations on supporting a convicted paedophile.. i noticed, at my parents house what map they are using at the moment and decided to get my anti witnessing done before they went out in service there.
however, it is a neighbourhood watch area so i decided i would have to do a few houses here and there along the roads and then run for it.
i had a gut feeling i had to be quick and get out.. i placed my bike behind a bush and wall and did a few houses here and there.. i got back to my bike, slipped off my cap, glasses and mac and started cycling only to see one police car crawling along the first road, the police men looking down each drive.

Is there a story behind the beer you drink or is just that it tastes better
by JH insome people drink a certain beer because they really find that it's the best tasting beer on the market, while others drink what their friends or spouse drinks and see no difference, no matter what beer they drink.. when i first started drinking beer when i was in my teens, i drank what my parents had at home.

honestly, i used to drink labatts but a friend initiated me to budlight, and i really love that beer now.

I have always preferred Real Ale. I was a member of the Campaign for Real Ale before I became a dub, and have rejoined since leaving the wt, It's a bit hard to name a favourite brew, there is so much choice these days, but my local, the Falstaff, has it's own brewery, and I love their Phoenix Bitter

Yes dfed, be very careful if you really want to stay in the org, when I stood up to the elders they did their level best to get rid of me, and when I left I got the impression that most of them were glad to see the back of me - they didn't try very hard to win me back anyway.

I felt quite a bit of guilt about certain things I did when I first left, like smoking and having sex, but not any more. The only guilt I feel now is that there are still a couple of people in the borg who I personally encouraged to join.

I think Rutherford and Knorr share the "honour". Rutherford was a power - hungry, money grabbing old drunk, whereas Knorr came up with most of the ideas that made the dubs stand out, like the blood issue, which came immediately after WW2 had ended. Also, the New World Translation, by far the most dishonest Bible translation ever published, came along in his day.

I used to be proud to be able to say I was "in the truth". Nowadays, I never refer to the jw religion as that. The two elders who dealt with my da askes if I was absolutely sure I wanted to leave "the truth". My reply was that I now know that I was never in the truth in the first place, so therefore I wasn't leaving it, merely resigning as an employee of a publishing corporation. Reading this bs makes me so angry. It's totally sickening that they keep getting away with this - they df people for minor offences that no-one outside the borg would even worry about, yet use their 2 witness rule to protect criminals. The wt truly is a paedophile paradise. It just makes me so glad I got out, I just can't believe how I ever got involved with these morons

I agree with Ticker on this, i've tried to show jws the information on the UN connection, and they just won't read it, the wt says it's wrong to do so and that's good enough for them. I remember when I read Crisis of Concsience, I felt guilty at the time, but when I had read it I knew I wasn't going back to the org anyway. I am certain that some of my former friends would be shocked by some of the information available on the wt these days, but most of them just won't open their eyes, and the ones who do don't stay in the org once they have
