Imagine false religion fell almost in 1918 and God hasn't destroyed it yet. WHAT THE HECK IS HE WAITING FOR?

by Qcmbr inif you read my other post you'll get the context but since this will be of great potential interest here it is: .
the jws are soon(next few months) going to make a public proclamation against all other churches which he was confident would 'shake things up' and would make a few jws unhappy???.
is this the big announcement for september?

I was 19 when an elder came on to me
by Mistah MOJO ini was a nineteen year old kid when a jw elder in his late fifties came on to me.
i was going through some awful stuff and dropped by his mobile home for spiritual counsel and a listening ear.
he answered the door in skivvies and a t-shirt.

Amazing. I have a really hard time understanding how people can do stuff like this. All I can say is they must really be sick. Someone comes to you for spiritual guidance and you ask to have sex. Crazy.

Focus Groups and Interviews of Jehovah's Witnesses
by JW_Researcher inthe following quote is found in a ph.d. dissertation that purports to have secured permission from the congregational overseer to conduct interviews and focus groups with congregation members.
this research was conducted in the usa.
this never would have happened in any of the halls i attended.

There was a directive to call Legal on something like this. Probably because of situations like this. One can be sure that only 'spiritually strong" JWs were interviewed. And probably with an elder present. Which means this guy learned little.

Interesting case, especially since the family says that she is NOT a JW. That would invalidate any medical directive. The only way to prove that she is a JW is to subpoena her publisher record card. How much do you want to bet that this one won't be appealed?

The Gentiles Times Reconsidered--Again but this Time By Using the Bible
by thirdwitness inthink about this: if seven times mean only 7 years then daniel could have simply said 7 years.
why does daniel specifically use the word 'times' rather than years?
as we have already shown daniel used the word for 7 times instead of 7 years.

If one reads Daniel, without preexisting beliefs they would likely never come up with any other explanation than the face value of that story. Further, if you have to go to that much trouble to explain it, its probably not even worth trying.

He is probably referring to the already posted letter to be read in September introducing the Kingdom News tract campaign. It is about False Religions End being near. Nothing big or unusual IMHO.

Baptized July 05. Left Dec 05.
by Moomin ini have been lurking on these forums for about 6 months and thought it was time to join in.. i was a child/teen when i first became introduced to jehovah's witnesses through my mum who studied for a while but never fully committed.
i had a study and attended some meetings but it all petered out by the time i hit my late teens and we moved to another town.. for the following 10 years i just lived my life how i pleased.
got married etc.

Congratulations! I know of a case where someone themselves a few months after baptism. The individual learned about the df'ing arrangement and decided they wanted no part of this cult.

a breath of fresh air.

I remember as a kid being taught that he was a genius. That he gave his talks from memory, spoke seven languages and all sorts of other things.

Regrets of Being Brought up as a Witness
by chuckie77 inive never really been one to say a whole lot against the organisation, even though i was really unhappy in the years leading up to getting out of it, i still think theres so many good, peace loving and genuine people in it.
that said i was brought up as a witness and sometimes feel like ive been robbed of a true childhood.. my dad was a lot older than my mum, and was almost 50 when i was born.
he was the po in the cong and being a witness was, and still is, everything to him.

COFFINS in the Kingdumb hall.....
by kid-A ini recall going to several jw funerals as a small kid where the coffin had been brought into the hall, a service that must have been provided by.
the funeral parlour.
however, since the early 80s, i have never again attended a jw funeral with a casket present in the hall.

Interesting, I have had the same experience. Now I don't see any Memorial services at the Hall unless the person draws a crowd. Like 200 or more.
