Confused and lost-It was reading the Bible as you are doing (I was a School Overseer and was able to focus on it, Bible Highlights particularly) really proved to me that the FDS does not teach the Bible accurately. Keep going as you are. Reading the Bible for yourself can be a first step in recovery.

by confused and lost ini have just finished reading the book of romans and i have a question ?
a person cannot please god unless he is controlled by the spirit.
(rom 8:8,9) nor can he put to death the misdeeds of the body except by the spirit (rom 8:13) the next verse (v14) then tells us that all who are led by gods spirit are gods sons.in fact they are adopted as his children.however,according to the wts , these verses only apply to the annointed.so,my question is this.if only the annointed are led by gods spirit,whose spirit leads the "other sheep" ?

I want to post more for the reasons that Flipper stated at the beginning of this thread. I want to be of assistance to others. Further, one never truly gets rid of the JWs when one has family in it. And with my soon to be ex going back in, I need to be on top of things so that she doesn't drag my daughter in as that would break my heart.

One good thing about being da'd is that I can't get in trouble. I must confess to hiding some of my "worldly" behaviors from JW family and coworkers though. I'm not quite sure why.

Funny, I thought about the same thing this morning, Armageddon that is. That always brought doubts up in my mind when I was a JW. I would always think, "well I bet it won't come this year either. Things seem so normal even if there are problems in the world." Now I know that Armageddon is a fantasy. Wow...freedom.
