I would encourage them not to attend any meetings.

Women What do you Look for in Men
by LouBelle inright so being single and being free to look and date the male species i'm sad to announce that there really is no much of a choice out there.
perhaps i'm not looking in the right places, or perhaps i just don't do it for these men.
anyway what do you look for in a guy.

HONESTY
I also came to the conclusion that I would only settle for a man I loved so much that there wasn't one thing I would want to change about him. I found Mr. Right six years ago and we are living happliy ever after.

What did shunning do to you?
by hillary_step inthere can be little doubt that the wts 'shunning' policy is a dangerous weapon.
each year tens of thousands of people are disfellowshipped, and experience the reality of being shunned.
many of them still believing the wts doctrine that if they die in this condition they will shortly be executed by god at har-meggedon and die an eternal and disgraceful death some leaving the faith altogether.

People shunning helped me see how stupid it is. I felt ashamed that I ever practiced such a thing and it verified that I was indeed on the right track out of the organization. I feel for all those that lost their families due to being df'd and for those that were suicidal.

This guy is only being nice because he wants to convert you. Be cautious...the kindness is very conditional, conditional on you conforming to what JW's believe.

You will be shown hatred on the account of my name.
by Chicky inhas it ever occurred to any body out there why jehovah's witnesses are so disliked/picked on etc?
do you ever wonder why we are the only religion that gets a bad rap?
doesn't that tell you non jw's out there anything?

Chicky-Your preaching to the choir here.....been there done that. It's all bull. How many hours field service did it take for you to type up that little sermon? If you would use your dictionary you could of gotten a little more time in.

Why Does The Society Pick BORING Books To Study At The Bookstudy?
by minimus inmy mom hates the daniel book and doesn't even remember studying it before.
(she's 79 today).
maybe she's losing it.....i don't think so.

i think studying the same books is part of the brainwashing and mind control. they just keep repeating the same thing over and over and over until it's pounded in your head. then when jw's say something, whatever comes out of their mouths is what they've studied over and over and again.
or maybe it's the theory of "battle them with bullshit" to keep their minds thinking of anything productive or intellectual.
