Fading, Stopping Meetings, DA or DF'ing, Thoughts on Getting the Hell Out Of There
by OnTheWayOut inso i read some threads about why someone remains a ministerial servant or elder, or why they are still active jw's.
others are telling stories about how they cut back slowly, and some of them got removed as ms/elder/pioneer or whatever.
yet others tell of how they just up and stopped going one day.

I tried to fade.
It worked for about 3 years with me telling the 'brothers' that I was too tired and depressed to go to meetings.
Then, my uber dub spouse decided to press the issue and really get the 'brothers' involved with my doubts.
The end result...
I couldn't take the constant hounding from the spouse so we split and a year and a half later I DA'd when DA'ng was still announced as "xxx xx xxxx has DA'd from the (cough, cough) 'Christian' (they are kidding, right?) congregation.

How Best to Kill off the Disgusting Old Whore of Brooklyn
by Focus ini have been absent from the anti-wts scene for a decade.. for some of this time, prominent bethelite has prepared a version of the list of watchtower lies and insanity which is about 50 (yes, fifty) times larger than its predecessor.. for some details, read here:.
http://hourglass2.com/forum/index.php?id=1702.
i would welcome views thereon.. it is to be anticipated that the filthy spiritual-pornographer society would respond with robust legal action to prevent dissemination of this work, misusing copyright and other law to repress it.. one can arrange for the entire new work to be placed, in downloadable pdf format, on the internet, in an enormous variety of hard-to-remove-from places.. i welcome views and commentary.. --.

Ask her WHY the church in Corinth called on "the name of Jesus Christ our Lord - theirs and ours" in 1 Corinthians 1:2.
Get ready to hear a lot of doubletalk from her.

If your not baptized in the name of the father, son and holy spirit. was your baptism official
by goingthruthemotions inmatt 28:19 "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit,.
i don't ever remember hearing at my baptism nor any other baptism of a jw.
the person giving the baptism talk or person doing the dunking saying that i/we are baptized in the name of the father, son and holy spirit.. so i have come to the conclusion that my/our baptism's are not official.

You were baptised into a cult that worded the baptism so that you can't win a lawsuit against them when you are shunned by your relatives if you decide to leave and sue the cult because you are being shunned.
The JW baptism has been based on legalities since 1985 so the society doesn't incur liability when your relatives follow rules and regulations instead of following Jesus' example of love.
I feel sorry for everyone who has relatives in the cult.

Your mom is scared because she really believes that God is going to have to kill all nonJW's, including her own family members.
Jehovah's Witnesses have an unhealthy fear of God because of the lies they have been told by false prophets who produce religious literature filled with failed interpreted prophecies, constantly changing doctrines (read Ephesians 4:14 and see who it applies to), medical policies that have caused many of their followers to lose their lives prematurely, etc.
Your mom needs prayers asking that God start a good work in her like He did with you and your husband (Phillipians 1:6).
It was terrifying the the first time I attended to worship services at a church after I left the JW's.
I thought God was going to strike me dead on the spot when I pulled into the parking lot and saw the cross above the building.
I asked Him to let me know what to do and it was if I was being pulled against my will to the front door.
I went in and met my friend who had invited me and within 30 minutes inside I knew that almost everything I had been told abour 'Christendom' as I was growing up was not true.
It was as if God had pulled a blind fold off my eyes. I heard things about Jesus that I had never heard in a kingdom hall or read in a Watchtower magazine.
A lot of JW's would leave the cult if they had heard what I heard about Jesus during that sermon.
I think you may have opened a door for your mom with what you told her.
