stephen bates recently wrote an article about the flogging death of a girl in chicago http://www.guardian.co.uk/archive/article/0,4273,4301026,00.html.
he kindly sent me a copy of a letter he received from the wts office in pennsylvania and gave me permission to post it.
i don't have time to fix the formatting right now.. .
First of all, may I say that I am very flattered that you state that the Watchtower magazine and Awake! both quote so extensively from the fair and unbiased coverage provided by the Guardian. Since I do not normally see either publication, I would be most interested if you would care to send me cuttings of these articles, complete with the attributions since, as you know, it would be a breach of copyright to use our material without permission in your magazines. Your encomium is nevertheless welcome.
This is priceless!!

okay fess up: whats your handle mean?.
my handle: mindchild comes from computer scientist and futurist dr. hans moravec: who wrote the book, the future of robot and human intelligence which is a book about when we will be able to construct machines capable of human intelligence and raises the possibility of uploading ourselves (every thought we ever had) into an android body much superior to the human ones we have now.
i entertain the hope that not only will i live long enough to see this happen, i will transfer myself (the complete essence of what is me) into a body of my own choosing and become immortal if i so choose.
I am madly, make you puke, in love with my hubby. Betcha can't guess his name...

ladies and gentlemen of the jury listen to my story then make a wise and fair decision in my case.. i'm a 42 year old male.
been in the truth for 32 years.
married to a witness.
Diamond ... welcome. I personally like the kamakazi idea too. But the slow fade would be more practical. Maybe you could start by not being so reliable..... get to the meeting after they have started .... leave early. Force them to find someone else for mic's or read at the study. This might make a fade a little easier.
Wishing you the best ....
Edited because I am a bad spellur

i have never really shared my experience growing up as a jw, but feel it is time to share.
i am 26 years old and was raised as a jw from birth.
i left the jw when i was 14 by actions and 21 by a written letter, because i was baptised at the age of 11. .
Welcome,
Thank you for sharing your story. I look forward to hearing more from you in the future. There were parts of your story that sounded hauntingly familiar ... have you ever lived in KY??
