  What's the most controversial thing you ever did in Kingdom Hall?

  i remember scanning real money and with photoshop pasting the picture of an elder on the bill over the face of the queen.

  then i printed many bills.

  it looked very real.

  I showed up for a funeral recently with a goatee.It was quite interesting to note the reactions.Some really didn't know how to react.A few elders even talked to me,acting like they couldn't see it,some people avoided me.One brother tried to make me feel bad but I reminded him that there was nothing wrong with having a goatee.A disfellowshipped sister was sitting at the back.When she was leaving she looked around at the people there.I smiled at her and she seemed surprised that someone would acknowledge her.She quickly looked away,grabbed her stuff and left.I'm sure I must've had some people talking about me after,we stayed for 2 hours after the funeral talk;my wife was so happy to have me with her in a KH,she didn't care about the goatee.Actually,she likes it.

  Is there a complete list of WT books anywhere?

  i was just thinking, and wondering if there was a complete list of books that the wt/bible students have published right from day one until today?

  The WTS will just deny this guy was a jw or that is marital problems were WT related.And I bet he won't get a KH funeral.Oh,yeah,he'll probably be branded an apostate too,can't really stand up to defend himself.It's just really sad for this woman and her daughter.It's unbelievable that someone trying to leave the WTS has to live under the threat of death by a happy christian who knows the "truth" and has the "new personality".

  as many of you will know, my friend linda left the wt last night, and i had the privilege of sharing the moment with her.

  and it was a privilege - she was so cool when she approached the po, i think i was more nervous than she was!

  last night was kind of euphoric for both of us, but now i guess the hard work begins.

  I read about it last night,but my wife was too close for me to leave a message.I was really proud of her and the courage she displayed for standing up for what is right.I'm sure this man-made religion is slowly imploding and it makes me feel good.

  hi, i am a friend of dedpoet, i think he may have posted about me occasionally, and he has kindly allowed me to join the forum from his pc as i do not have internet access at home.

  i have known trev (dedpoet) since he first joined the same congregation as me 14 years ago, and we have always been friends.

  i was very sad when he left us some years ago, but have maintained contact with him, something that has got me in trouble with the elders just lately now he is disassociated.

  Hi and Welcome!

  If you have many doubts all I can suggest(if you like reading) is read Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Christian Freedom.I guarantee you will not have any doubts after reading those two books.Your eyes and mind will be opened to many things you didn't know about the WTS or you will read things and say to yourself "Yeah,I thought that too!".The best thing you can do is to educate yourself about your religion and feel good about leaving a man-made organization.

  well, we were going about our business today as we usually do on a monday.

  mrs kwin went to work, kids went to school, i stayed home and made apple sauce and beer.

  2:30 comes along and it's time to pick up everyone and, oh yeah ... we have that appointment today.

  I just came upon this thread.It's quite a story.First of all Kwin,I commend you for the stand you're taking on this personal issue.Do you realize how many jw's/ex-jw's would just walk away and not say a thing?What this receptionist did was expose the hypocrisy of jehovah's witnesses and will bring "shame upon the local congregation".

  Stand tall,think about it wisely and I'm sure you'll come up with a good decision Kwin.Or,you could always....."Wait on Jehovah to take care of it". Sorry,I just couldn't help myself.

  i'm watching this guy as he's a hometown boy, but anyone else amazed at what he's doing in his first few games?.

  4 games, 6 points, and tonight's game is just into the third, and he has a goal and an assist.

  my husband and i are involved with a group of people and we have what we refer to as a "small group".

  we get together have wine and cheese and read the bible or discuss things that we might need help with.

  it is a very cool group of people no over the top christians.

  What you are talking about is integrity.If you don't have integrity then you are not a real christian.The examples you gave are all really good and for sure it's a good subject to discuss in achristian group.MT 7:12
