They are Definitely Attacking "Higher Education"
by XBEHERE ina friend of mine recently had his co visit and in the elders meeting the co out-right asked the question: how are the friends doing in your cong.
as regards pursuing higher education?
the co continued...you know in view of all the counsel from the slave regarding the dangers.

They are f---ing scared with the majority of young people waking up and leaving this bogus religion. What they need to think about is the fact that more young people who haven't gone to college are still leaving in droves. Seems to me that the WT society is dying!

Ray Franz
by thedog1 inam reading coc at the moment, about half way through.
just finished reading some of the details of what happened in malawi and mexico years ago.
which reminded me that in the early 80's a very well known elder in the country i was then living in went to new york as he had discovered all the discrepencies between what had happened in malawi and in mexico and wanted to know what the gb had to say about it.

I'm an ex elder. Was appointed in 1986 and somewhere around 1990-1991 I basically told them to shove it after I saw the power struggle and back stabbing in my cong. It wasn't until 1996 when my wife died that I finally found courage to leave, but that took me another 5 years plus. Best thing I ever did!

If all of you would start sending money to me, I will also make predictions. There will be weather tomorrow. It may be rain, snow, or sunshine depending on where you live. Send all donations to "Iwillfleeceyou" via the internet. LOL
Too many charlatans out there!

My Story
by Brother Mike inmy story is long, heart stopping, tragic, and puzzling.
since i posted what was said to be my last post, i received a private message which sparked my attention about the watchtower.
immediately i did research, and have found not only proof from outside sources, but the watchtower openly admitting it.

So sorry for your loss Brother Mike,
It really hurts to lose loved ones. Please hang around and try to learn from those of us who have been through it all and just try to ignore the ignorance of some. If some comments offend you, just let them pass over you like water. I learned that the hard way in my 9 year on this forum. Sometimes I would get nasty with a few posters but I have learned to like some of them in the meantime. We are all on a journey.
Take care,

Crazy JW urban legend
by Simon ina sure guarantee that this was bogus (really, any reasoning is required at all?
) was that it did the rounds applied to john denver, annie lennox and others.. basically, they relied on satan (oh yes) for their musical ability (i knew it) and any jws in the audience would be asked to leave because ... (drum roll) ... they blocked the signal to satan so couldn't perform with them present!.
anyone else remember that gem?.

Oh Gheesh,
I remember that one. Only heard it once about John Denver getting his ability from Satan and asking JW's to leave. But I heard many times about his asking if there were any JW's in the audience and then asking them to leave. Also heard a lot about Blue Oyster Cult and Led Zeppelin being inspired by demons. Oh.....and how about the one big Beatles album from 1965....Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band? There was one person on the cover (can't remember his name right now) I think it was Alastair something. He supposedly helped channel the Beatles to the spirit world for their inspiration.

I forgot..........I bought at a discount store those plastic discs that made moving heavy furniture easy. They had a sign "As Seen On TV". Those things are fantastic and I would like to buy more of them if I ever see them again.
