  Sexual or spiritual pleasure?

  i always wondered in my life is it better to gratify sexual excitation or divert it away from its goals of gratification and use it to develop culture or expand awareness (knowledge) in areas of interest?

  or is it too frustrating to do that?

  or is there no value in the belief that denied physical pleasure takes the form of a deeper, more sustained and profitable in the long term spiritual pleasure?

  do you get upset when very few persons (or perhaps no one) reply to one of your topics (threads)?

  do you find it surprising that such failed topics become very successful when started by someone else later in time?

  I'm interested in 'input.' We can all learn from one another, we need to 'exchange'ideas.
  
  I feel by not putting in our two cents we end up being the losers. I've been into sports competition since a childhood, coming here is not a competition of who can get the most replies. I'm speaking for myself.

  in the mid 1960's a non-jw uncle of mine was at high school and enthused about the woodwork, electonics and metalwork he was enjoying.

  when i asked mother about it she said "oh don't be silly, armageddon will be here long before you go to high school".

  as it was i enjoyed high school but left to pioneer as soon as i legally could in 1972 (aged 15 and just in time to pioneer before the big a).

  back when i was a boy in the 1950s many men wore hats and so did my father.. one evening at the kh he was called in to the backroom by the elders for a 'meeting after the meeting',.

  his crime?

  he had been seen raising his hat when greeting women!!!!.

  asked the elder conducting my book study today...he didn't know.

  how about a little help here old buddy.. if no...then why continue to "preach the good news" to convince them to repent?

  Unclebruce, in golf they call your 'shot' out of bounds. You get an automatic two stroke penalty. Tee up again.
