  How does God communicate with us?

  in the past, god spoke to humans through angels, prophets, and jesus.

  today, there are no prophets, angels don't show up anymore, and jesus isn't there to speak to us.. we can talk to god through prayer, but how does god talk to us?.

  so, other than the bible which is pretty outdated, how can god communicate with humans?

  Blondie first of all do you look like the Blondie picture you use? Cause she is a major fox, the picture reminds me of a women whom I used to date for about seven years, she was hotter than kitten on a hot ten roof.

  a jw cousin of mine called my jw wife today and asked if i saw my new nephew from my jw sister.

  my wife said "no, his family would never allow him to see the baby!

  " (i'm da'd).

  Argument from an elder on why to not leave the JWs...

  i got an interesting reply from an elder friend when i admitted that i had issues with the wts.

  i had listed the failed predictions, the changing doctrines and the mistakes made by the wts.. he came back with the examples of the israelites in the wilderness and under the various kings.

  the nation of israel was still god's people despite their hardheadedness and sins.

  This argument is presumptuous at the very lest: "Today, if we see something that doesn't make sense in the congregation, or a doctrine can't be explained to our satisfaction are we going to forsake Jehovah because the WTS can't answer every question to everyone's satisfaction? We have to be willing to wait on Jehovah as those in the wilderness waited and those under bad kings waited. To leave shows disrespect for Jehovah's arrangement and selfishness." Why must this elder assume the organization is Jehovah and Jehovah is the organization? This is the major reason Jehovah is not behind the Watch Tower society besides many other reasons encompassing false hoods, and behaving with a cult mentality. Why the members do not comprehend this point goes beyond all reason.

  in the proclaimers book it mentions that from 1944 no credits were given any longer to authors or composers of kingdom melodies.

  compare this though to examples in the bible.

  david is credited with many songs in the psalms.

  Steaming Angry - Forced to explain Shunning to my 5year old daughter!!!

  i am absolutely hopping mad angry!!!!.

  to those of you who know me, you are aware that i have been fading for over a year now.

  i have a daughter who is 5 and a son who is 2 y. in brief iast year i separated from my husband, left the organisation, met someone else and am now expecting with my new partner.. well i have had the usual ups and downs with my jw family.

  LittleToe, thanks Dude.

  It was like the Twilight Zone back then, it was like I was fighting some dread lord of darkness.

  First a masive head injury, then daughter being abused by ex-wifes boy friend, then being disfellowshiped, having seizures all the time from head injury that I never had before that are triggered by stress, the sister whom I was disfellowshiped with would not leave me alone ( nempho), I got disfellowshiped after my wife ran off with this abuser, got tossed out of the hall for not setting in the main area because the fans were triggering siezures and they would not believe me. What a crazy life.

  Now I am married to a good women who I believe was sent by a loving God.

  ok...thought this was interesting.. mom called this morning practically begging me to go to the jc meeting that's coming up this weekend.

  i explained that i had asked 6 different elders to get a study started with me within a span of 4 years because i was "feeling weak".

  each time i asked for a study i would say "i need help because i'm losing faith".

  What does God expect us to ask for in prayer?

  jesus said to pray continuously.

  i don' pray anymore because nothing happens no matter what i ask.

  ask for money, you won't get it because everyone wants money and it displeases god.. .

  I look at it this way if I ask something out of line he just won't grant it in any way.

  Basicly when I do pray which is not much, sometimes I ask for peace and for him to give me wisdom in dealing with others but mostly my kids, cause they cause me much grief. There is always a lot of thanking him, cause he has done a lot for me and I am a real character when it comes to being human, and of course I ask for mercy cause again I am a spiritual scoundrel but I don't want to be, the witness's done this to me by pissing me off.

  Do ALL men cheat??

  i was watching an old eddie murphy hbo special a few weeks ago where he was talking about relationships.

  in his bit, he went off on how all men cheat on their wives and girlfriends.

  he was adamant that even the nicest of guys will take the opportunity to cheat if given the chance and that women need to understand that this is the way it is, 100% of the time.

  I remember when I cheated it was fun, cause my bitch wife at the time was going out on me so much I felt like Hillary Clinton. Now I got a good wife whom I could never do that to, cause it would break her heart and cause her to cry and that just chokes me up.
