Are you a people person or a loner?
by Strawberryfieldsforever ini've heard that there are people who thrive on being with people.
they gain energy from it.
then there are the loners who gain energy from being alone.

I love being around people most of the time. There is not many people I cant get along with, even if they are grummpy or out of sorts. However when I need me time I take time alone. Your a long time dead but hey it takes all sorts of people to make up a world and if you "vant to be alone" then thats the way you are!

The Elder's Boy's Club
by minimus inwhy do some elders love being elders?
it's because they belong to a club.
it's an exclusive club.

..and the difference between them and the general congregation would be?????????? No wonder the congs are the loveless cold places they are if that is the example the so called elders or leaders of the congregation act!

Well my office is in the lost property section of a local bus company. The amount of lost property that gets returned is phenonminal. We have had people ring and say they have lost mobile phones and all sorts and I would say about 90% get returned. What amazes me is that many people ring up and say they have lost their wallet with say $500 in and its all the money they have etc. They do get returned with all the money still in it. It really restores your faith in humanity.
Having had my wallet stolen and never found I would hand in anything I find and have always done because I know the anxiety and heartbreak etc it causes when you loose something. Recently I lost my mobile phone but someone found it and returned it personally to me. SO there are some wonderfully honest people out there.
I guess sad to say there is also some very dishonest people out to, who never stop and think about the consequences of their actions. It is usually lost by people who can least afford to lose it. Even if there was no return address I would still turn it in to the police just in case someone looks there for it!

Sounds like you had a real bonza break. I myself am off to sunny queensland for a free all expenses paid holiday at the end of march where I intend to follwo your example. I wont drink though whilst I am at the theme parks cause I want to enjoy and remember them without any characters taking advantage of my good nature...that'll happen later on at the night clubs!

Ahhh Fader your supposed to drop the arogant attitude when you stop being a JW . All I am saying is that just remember there is a world outside of america and some of that world is on this board and dont give away who wins even if you are being smart or sarcastic. It really is unfair when people give away things like that. Its like me being hours ahead of you and telling you what happened last night and giving the game away like for instance you will find out soon that last night the Faithful and Discreet slave formally disolved the organisation and JW no longer exist! See now I have spoilt the surprise for you!!!!!!

Favorite childhood TV shows
by Nosferatu innow, i'm not referring to sesame street, mr. rogers, or any of the educational kids' shows.
i'm talking about the ones for pure entertainment, cartoons and such.
however, i can't really classify this as purely cartoons since some of you might have watched things like hr pufnstuf.. i grew up in the 1980s, when the magic of saturday morning cartoons existed.

I only used what you gave me. YOu created me in your image so to condemn me is to condemn yourself. Argue that one Mr Big guy!

Do you fear a final judgement?
by fearnotruth22 inwe dont know one way or another if we will have to be judged by god and possibly punished for our "sins" better safe than sorry?
or, just do what makes you happy and worry about it when the times comes?

Well its like this. Suppossedly this god omnipotent being gace us the gift of free will to use as we freely wanted to...as long as we do what he says, when he says and how his so called organisation on earth tells us too. If we choose to exercise said free will we are condemed. If we exercise said free will and do what he says his way we will live forever so long as once we stay faithful until the end of this system, then still stay faithful when the big test comes even though most fall away, we will be rewarded with everlasting life to do exactly what we are told to do , when he says to do it and be happy about it because we wont know any different. WE would be controlled puppets in a perfect world.
I would rather live my life on my own terms with the people whom I choose to be with, helping when and where I want to, not hurting anyone and showing love to all, doing my best to help as many as I can, even strangers and those who I have nothing in common with or have the same set of beliefs. If I am condemed for that well then what kind of god is it? Isn't that all a human can aspire to?

religious or secular?
by fader ini have never been a religious person, despite being raised as a witness and going through the motions.
now that i'm out, i'm not a religious person at all.
i don't believe in god, i think there is some sort of higher power, but i'm just not that concerned with learning anything about it.

Yep fader I feel the same way. I was raised a catholic that actually went to church every week and sunday school. Almost became a nun...later I became more aware of a spiritual need amd eventually I became a witness and have done the fade away. I feel the same way, I have no spiritual need, dont believe in anything anymore and avoid going anywhere that has to ddo with chursch and stuff. I think that means I am an agnostic????
I wonder if it is just a stage and something will start growing again eventually or whether this will be permanent. I mean I will never have anything to do with organised religion again. If anything the study and beliefs of wicca are interesting to me but not that interesting.
Good luck and I hope good things come out of life for you and we hear more from you.
