Disfellowshipping Spree In My Congregation
by jw07 ini just was looking back at a group photo on social media from exactly one year ago.. there are 12 persons in it, and since last year 3 of those persons in that photo have been disfellowshipped, plus one more not in the photo.
so that's a total of 4 persons from my congregation of a little over 100 publishers.. unfortunately 3 are back at the meetings and taking the shunning, but one seems to be fully awake and has disappeared completely.. that's the most persons i recall being disfellowshipped in my congregation in such a short while.
usually it's like 1 every 2 or 3 years.. i wouldn't mind seeing more people leaving.. there are currently 3 persons who i wonder about.

I remember a real amazing episode about 20 years ago here in my town.
There were 6 weeks in a row of judicial announcement. Several every meeting and from adjoining halls. DFs and reproofs. I remember it clear as day as my first wife was one of the "sinners"...
We divorced shortly after.
About 20 people were involved. Some are still out and some are still long gone.
Lurkers: This is cult tactics if you were curious.

I miss my family so much. I thought I was over it but I have breakdowns every few months thinking about my family
by macys inas most of you know i have been shunned by my family for 2 years because of a photo posted on facebook of me kissing another girl at a party.
the matter was not dealt with fairly but it is over now and i am 100% certain that jdub org is a cult.
but i miss my family so much.

Do not ever go back.
Not worth it. Make new friends that will treat you like family.
Chances are, in my opinion, the religion will fold or there will be a mass awakening.
I firmly believe this. After the lawsuits start piling up and payments are expected it will nearly impossible to keep it quiet. I think it will become too embarrassing to remain a JW in today's world.Stand your ground. Changing your beliefs, pretending theirs is true or attending the meetings for the sake of those that treat you cruelly because someone else told them to shun you is not a good enough reason.
I'm actually quite glad to be rid of these people, now that some time has passed. ( 2.5 years since exit, DF'd since Sept 10th this year )

Disfellowshipping Sounds Wonderful to Me Now
by xjwsrock in2 people were read out last week as disfellowshipped.
of course now the announcement is read "so and so is no longer one of jehovahs witnesses".
they read that statement twice, once for each of the names.

Being DF'd is actually pretty good.
I really enjoy my freedom. I don't have to answer to anyone anymore.
No more privileges, either. No more wasted time chasing "everlasting life".
One of my favorites is no longer feeling guilty.

About 'Regular' Pioneers
by Gayle innow that district overseers have been deleted, now that bethelites are being devalued and increasingly dismissed, now that special pioneers are being deleted in u.s., and maybe elsewhere gradually.
who would have ever thought?.
yet, now what is the value to be a regular pioneer to the org?

Imagine all of these regular pioneers being "promoted" by Jehovah to the top level of service overnight. "What a blessing "... -

Handing out candy
by mikeypants ingrowing up my parents would barricade our home off by parking vehicles bumper to bumper - you would have to crawl under the cars or over the bumpers to get to our door.
also, we would turn off all the lights and hide in the back room away from the street.. that was the norm for me.
isnt that insane?
-
kairos
We would put up a sign on the street and a sign on the door that said:
"No Halloween here"Most would not make it to the door. The few that knocked, we ignored.
