  Watchtower: You Made us Apostates!!

  if you are willing to pay attention to the org's history and do any kind of unbiased personal research, it's impossible to miss ttatt.. watchtower's publication archive provides all the information anyone would ever need.where are all of the "half truths and outright lies" actually coming from?

  ( old light ).

  why, oh why, back in 1989 when i first got hooked did i not do any research into the watchtower corporation?.

  Jws are made to "want" to go along with the new teachings/doctrines/TV channel/GB worship,etc because if you don't, you too can be labeled an "APOSTATE".

  I asked where is the proof?

  arguing with my husband again, i asked where is the proof that jesus looked down on earth in 1919 and chose a small group of bible students in america apart from them saying it in their magazines.

  also where is the proof that satan and his demons were cast down in 1914 just because first world war started.

  neither of these things are in the bible only in their magazines.

  the neighbor child came over to play with my youngest child.

  i think she's about 4 maybe 5. well anyway there was some strawberries out on the counter and she asked if she could have one and i said no.

  when i looked over later i saw her sneak one.

  5 Year Old "Ministers"

  what would have happen if i was not home when jehovahs witnesses knocked on my door?.

  there was a group of us living in a small trailer in the mid 60s when and old pioneer brother knocked on our door and placed all kinds of books and magazines with us.

  all of us took it seriously and studied and started attending the kingdom hall.

  I have often wondered what would have become of me if I had rejected the "truth".

  I always liked to brag how "the truth" saved my life. As if I was leading some sort of tragic life heading for death. That was not the case.

  Now I'm catching up with all of my old interests and hoping I have enough time left.

  hey everybody, been here lurking for years now... i tired of all the gb 2.0 shit and need to fade successfullydo we have a guide, i am very tempted to go out with a bang, but i want my wife with me, she aint a strong witness and would happily trust me ... i love her a lot.

  I feel like I'm reading my own life story as I read some of the personal experiences.

  I met with ONE elder and said: "I no longer want to be a MS and I do not want to talk about it with anyone."

  They bought that.

  I later found the door and faded fast and deliberately.

  ps, choose you elder wisely. The one I selected had been "out" for 6 years himself preveiously, so he knew the feeling on a similar level.

  In 2004 I began a very delicate balancing act.

  I started to immerse myself in new and exciting activities.
  People would question me. Make stupid culty remarks about the time required to enjoy these things.
  

  The balance was that I was a "strong" MS, aux pioneered every month where there were five full weekends, maintained a legit FS average, out on Public Talk assignments monthly and was running my own successful business.

  I learned to enjoy my private life, while being an example in the hall in attendance, answering, reading, KH assignments, etc.

  I was unknowingly starting to build a replacement social network for my eventual departure from the cult. It was only after I developed this new group of "worldly" friends and realized that they were now my "real" friends, that I then faded. I awakened in 2010 with the New Light, unscriptural and unteachable, "Overlapping Generation" letdown.
  
  It still took more than two years to get out, while dodging assignments, rejecting an elder appointment, witnessing first hand congregation injustices and a divided BOEs, gradually slowing down and finally leaving for good in 2013.

  I was baptized in 1989~

  So, yes I'm working through anger issues regarding the feelings of being taken advantage of.
  The time is lost forever. I'm trying to cope with that reality.

  The org, it's money problems ans other stuff!

  hi there, although i have been a lurker here for a while now i've not yet posted a new topic, so here goes nothing lol.. i have been thinking a lot lately on all the changes and the branch visits, specifically the uk branch visit where apparently it has bean mentioned the great tribulation is about to start.. since i've not heard the full talk and only heard certain items from it i got to thinking that maybe this is the org's way of saying the watchtower is about to go down due to all the cover ups and the long list of discrepancies.. maybe i am way off the mark here, what does everone else think?.

  Will they jump of the building?

  during the depression people committed suicide because everything they had invested in was gone overnight in an instant.

  many people are very fragile creatures.

  if by some freaking chance, (like enron, tiger woods, or the morning of august 1945 in hiroshima) the wts gets caught in a humongous scandal, say like links to human sex trafficking, (i can fantasize right) and the government steps in to investigate and finds them guilty and legally shuts them down permanently, will there be tons of suicides?

  I believe the JW phenomenon will go down in world history as one of the most damaging social experiments ever.

  Yes, I sadly think there will be thousands of suicides.
  I really expect this. Gut wrenching.
