if a witness fails in setting the proper example, they may lose some 'privileges"..... what privileges did you look to have and what privileges did you lose?

Brock's stories brought on a memory:

We rented a school auditorium for the Memorial,

I was assigned to the sound booth (which of course had no monitor)

The first song for decades was "The Lord's Evening Meal"

I put on the record,

Sounds a little odd out there,

And we're getting through the song way too fast,

THE SCHOOL'S TURNTABLE WAS SET ON 45 and I WAS PLAYING A 33 1/3 RECORD!!

This will play sound at higher pitch as well making it impossible to sing to,

It was all pretty weird but what were they going to do shoot me? Lol

What was the craziest sight you brothers seen running mikes ?

eg ,babies jump where they shouldn't, those hairy old sisters.....

As I was standing in the back with my mic there was this elder who would come over to me and get me to do his parts, sometimes up to 1\2 hr long! Stupid lies such as "I forgot my glasses" (if true there was enough time to go back for them!)

I didn' t think it was a good idea to argue with him so...

All masculine priveliges removed down to "buck sister" lol,

In addition, nothing from platform incl student talks and demos,

No reading of paragraphs at the Book Study,

My crime?

I had a beard,

Well, SOMETHING had to be done!

PS Privelige system is a principal way they keep people in line and is also a form of Shaming,

Witnesses (usually two together) will just lick their wounds and move on,

Basic psychology shows that information might be forgotten but the memory of emotions felt in such an encounter never will,

Later one sister complained/reported that she was "shocked" , she "could not hear anything I was saying"

She shunned me

She made lot of noise,

For decades since 1966 we actually enjoyed colorful costumed Bible Dramas,

Of course we are not believers now,

But these dramas would usually leave us feeling good,

What I've seen on the internet of these "videos" has left me feeling creeped out,

I wonder about how active JWS feel,

so it's not enough that i'm dealing with post traumatic stress/anxiety and panic attacks all related to my life as a jw (50 years baptized -- i stopped going a couple of months ago) at 3 a.m. i get an email from the other side of the world.

'you have to go to the convention.
