The question is...how many from the field?
Usually 95% are very young ones that get dipped because that's the thing to do.
so at the international convention 235 were baptized.
the attendance was 34k.
that's resents less than 1% its about .6%.

i've noticed, partilcularly on instagram, a advertising blitz for jw.org by the dubs.
primarily its the younger ones 35 and under vs older ones.
i dont know if its just my friends or everyone but they are obsessed with jw.org.
Once again i think it's all about money.
Let the website tell them about the good news of the kingdom and not waste 100's of million of publications that end up in the trash and does not bring anyone to the organization.
They know that 99% of those baptized are those raised in the religion and brainwashed from day one by parents.
this is classic damned if you do, damned if you dont.. the choice is.
1. be a hypocrite.
i just came to the realization that those of us still in and who know ttatt have only 2choices.
Don't know how old you are and we all understand what you're going through, we've been there, trying to please everyone in the family by faking it.
The conclusion of the matter is since you know that the watchtower is a cult, in due time you will not be able to keep your mouth shot and eventually hell will break loose with your wife, your parents and the congregation.
I slowly faded, my marriage fell apart after 26 years but i am free and living with a clean conscience being away from a dangerous religion.

I had two of them knocking on my door yesterday and did not have much of a presentation but just encourage me to check their website.
Easy preaching!!!!
why don't dfs who really know how evil jehovah's witnesses are just harrass them as they go door knocking so that when someone intervenes to defend them they get a balanced story about what the jehovah's witnesses are all about.
the ones that were raised in it were raised to be anti-intellectual wusses, they aren't going to win a debate or kick anyone's ass.
but they certainly deserve philosophical and rhetorical smackdowns, they deserve haters standing in their way as they go harrassing everybody in the neighborhood.
GB is evil....they know that "Jehovah" has nothing to do with them. They enjoy being treated as kings.
question: can any of you that have successfully faded out of the jw world without being df'd or da'd relate to me/us how you were able to maintain at least one or a few of your "still in" friends or family?
(and even if you were df'd or da'd and still maintained some relationships, how did that go?).
obviously, the truly demented, sick and twisted (and highly effective) policies and structure of the wtbt$ to set up a system by which anyone that chooses to no longer believe or participate must be treated as "mentally diseased" and a pariah by their own friends and family is the hands down, numero uno reason why many hundreds of thousands and possibly millions of jw's do not leave.
I have faded seven years ago but he consequences are almost the same...you lose all your friends since they know you don't believe anymore.
Only difference is when i go to the gym and see some JW they will say "Hello" to me but that's about it.
when i was still attending i almost single handedly took care of the outside grounds.
i actually enjoyed it - gardening being a hobby.
but i turned in the keys to the shed about three months before i made my official exit.. .
Probably the lazy elders came up with the great idea that the hours mowing the grass would be more productive if used knocking on doors or standing at a corner with watchtower publications and saving lives.
i'll start by saying, i'm a ministerial servant who is trapped in the religion.
my wife is hardcore...but i've slowly been getting her to lighten up, so i'll take it!
all my friends and family are jw's, and i am employed by a jw (who is actually a great boss).
Have been Catholic and a JW for 32, left in 2007 and never look back or wonder what if there is a creator and missing out on something. If there was a creator there would not be the confucion that we see about him.
Everything dies in the universe and on earth and so do humans.
And by the way,for some it might be a relief to die and not be with their wife eternally.
i am moving congregations soon and what is the best way to do it.
do you just show up in the new place and tell the elders you are new there and they will deal with it?.
Just get lost and your life will be so much better. I promise !
my mentally in jw wife is trying to organize a "princess party" for my 4 year old daughter and her little cousins and friends.
she was looking at prices of a tent for the backyard party in case it rains.
she asked the hardware store how much and they said 90 dollars for the day.
When ever they want to see your daughter make sure they don't. They don't deserve it. He's a real greedy prick.
