  Two types of elder?????

  its my experience after actually being an elder for a number of years that there are in fact...two types of elder.. type 1....genuine, actually cares about the people in the congregation and wasn't actually bothered too much if he became an elder or not.. type 2....very legalistic, cares more about organizational laws rather than people and lacks compassion and empathy.

  this type is more of a spiritual policeman.

  he wanted desperately to be an elder and now that he is, he loves the sense of power and prestige.. this has been my experience and if there are more type 2 elders on a body, the results can be disastrous.. what has been your experience???

  I've seen both maybe same proportion as I can't tell in thinking about it right now ...

  but maybe because there are a third type those who are just normal (good and bad at the time depends on their mood and situation) and who just take the job when it's given to them (and deal with it with pride or in a weak way depends of their nature and habilities) ... that's probably the majority

  2005 Barbecue Is Definitely On!

  saturday seems to be much preferred over sunday, so this years bbq will be held on saturday, july 9th, commencing around 2 pm.

  location is our home in weston super mare.

  as usual, the day will be very boozy and proceedings will conclude in the waverley pub.

  would it look like it big park?

  would it be country like, with acres of land per home?

  Going to my first meeting this morning

  hi there i'm new here, my name is fiona i am not yet a jw and have not started to study yet.

  i am very interested in doing so but since i am still new to all this i thought i should attend some meetings first.

  i am going to my first one today at the kelvin hall in glasgow, i am quite nervous as i do not know what to expect but also excited at the same time since it could be the beginning of a huge change in my life.

  ...... (... you must be sick to do that to any kid ... put them in 3 separated room a plus, not only they had no food but they could not communicate ... I don't understand there are so much solutions if it's about missing money to save at least your kids ... I would like to know the whole story )
