    Funky:

Where in "God's laws" is pornography prohibited?

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 & 1 Corinthians 7:1-2 "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. .....It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."

"fornication" means any unlawful sexual intercourse including adultery.

In the Bible the Greek definition of the word "fornication" means to commit illicit sexual intercourse.

The founding fathers of the US established many laws that were originally based on the laws of the Bible. But today US has drifted far from these standards and at the present our moral standards are shocking the world. Immorality is not only found in the U.S. but is a world-wide epidemic.

Societies throughout history and around the globe have embraced sexual standards that are called sins in the Bible

As Christians, the goal of any relationship should be to cause the people in our lives to love and know the Lord better. Living together is shameful and selfish as the parties do not care what others think or how they might affect their families and others. They are living to please their own lust and selfish desires. This type of life style is destructive and especially so for children whose parents are living a bad example before them.

No wonder our children are confused about right and wrong.

I came to my current moral code and ideaology through critique of my old ideaology with reason and logic. If I could not fundamentally prove my position with real life facts it was no more than wishful thinking by me. If I ran off to a conclusion that wasn't there because I "believed" it, then that would have been no more than wishful thinking also. Through all of this over the last 4 years I have came to what I currently know, and it's changing every second. Your statements are shotty remarks so you will never have to answer questions. This is not a good example of anything worthwhile to learn let alone absolute truth. Faith is dangerous as I hae specified before but you avoid or run away from individuals questions and statements and make dodgy remarks that doesn't contribute anything to the discussion. All of these things are characteristics of an individual that is holding on a belief through denial. And your statements about pornography is further proof of your one tracked mind.

I'm sorry you think that way daunt. Yet the evidence is all there. You asked me a question and I answered. It's all there in the bible. Maybe you don't understand it because you have a block somewhere somehow.

It would have been nice if you could see this truth. NO lie. Honest.

The problem is, the bible didn't answer anything. It just said "Do not deal with fornication blah blah blah" I can say that. What makes this book so special, unless I have to blindly force myself to think its great.

    Daunt:

What makes this book so special

Because the official author is God your creator.

The Bible was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by over 40 different authors from all walks of life: shepherds, farmers, tent-makers, physicians, fishermen, priests, philosophers and kings. Despite these differences in occupation and the span of years it took to write it, the Bible is an extremely cohesive and unified book.

The Bible was written in three languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek

The Bible was printed in 1454 A.D. by Johannes Gutenberg who invented the "type mold" for the printing press. It was the first book ever printed.

Is the Bible still the best-selling book in the world?

    Yes, indeed!
