Dan, sorry, Hearts of Darkness with an "ess", my bad, a documentary about the making of Apocalypse Now, by Coppola's wife. Interesting flick, I saw in on public TV.

uggh, the last Matrix flick sucked

edit, I don't expect any agreement about Apocalypse now, no one in RL agrees w/ me either on this one ... lol

The English Patient was slow and I didn't think it deserved all the hype

Stars Wars: Attack of the Clones...shudder..boring!!!

I am going to wait until the new one is out on dvd...I don't think I can stomach paying $8 to see a Lucas film if it isn't any good. It makes me sad...

The Grudge..stupid ending...not a very good film at all.

    The Deer Hunter

It had rave reviews, and I was totally disappointed in it, except for the part where they were captured by the Vietcong. The rest of the movie sucked.

    AHA!

THAT was one of the titles I was trying to think of!

    Whatta dog that was!

The Grudge was another that was pretty awful.

edited to say that I didn't see Eyebrow's post until after I had typed mine! (20 million movies I could have talked about, and pick the one that ends up being mentioned AS I was typing!)

Tal, I knew what you were talking about :)

Swan, I didn't care for Moulin Rouge either. Chicago on the other had was GREAT, one of my favorites.

Speaking of *yawn*, how about Master and Commander? Ugh!

    Dan,

    Have you seen:

    Kill Bill volume 2 ?

Of course, taken separately vol. 2 could stand alone, but after seeing vol. 1 there is even more character depth and significance to events in vol. 2.

The Kill Bill movie is satirical in much of its writing, and hugely respectful in scenes of the culture of martial arts. And it is symbolic of life, in ways that have significant meaning to any of us Ex-JW's.

I think this is lost to some viewers because of it's over-the-top violence.

-Just part of my take on Kill Bill.

Troy. Orlando Bloom sucked... and I don't think they were all that faithful to Homer.

What was so great about that film????

I thought it sucked, and I couldn't care less about Rosebud, or whatever.

    The Shining....

    Redrum, redrum, redrum....
