Big Tex ... perhaps that door is the nearest Kingdom Hall ... not on an apostate site.

Chris ... what are you doing here .... thought this was your big weekend-fest?

Sunspot ... don't tell me you are taken in by os too???

    afin,

"Taken IN?" By someone who has logical questions that he'd like answers to?

You claim to HAVE these answers but are reluctant to share them. So who is being taken in by whom here?

Either you don't care to answer these points, or you CAN'T. Either way, you are coming off as increasingly foolish or just someone who is clearly copping-out.

If so, then I would expect that organization to answer questions. Per your request, rescueme did in fact go to the WTS site and searched for answers. There were none. The results are on page 17 of this thread.

As for apostate, interesting word really. Certainly the Christians were considered 'apostate' for breaking away from Jehovah's spirit directed organization. The Greek Orthodox and Russian Orthodox were considered to be apostate for breaking away, the Protestants were considered apostate, and so on.

I guess the difference between truth and apostacy depends on whose ox is getting gored.

Sure is! We were up until midnight last night. Great fun, good people. A bunch of are going to Dave & Busters this afternoon.

... ... the more I read you AFIN the more I feel for you (should I ?) well as long as you do not suffer or don't question yourself But WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ? ... cause the third possibility is you losing your time with appostates (who have cheked and don't care your advices - and what you thinking/repeating/barfing in not challenging your views doesn't make any sense) ...

You cheater you should go door to door like those who really believe (because they wrongly didn't checked obviously, in knowing they should have) and in thise case are doing exactly what the WTBS tell them to do ... you are a BAD LAZY JW !!! ... (and I don't think I can be very wrong on this statement) you have a job if you believe in this bullshit ... don't try to escape it in loosing your time with us (No you are allowed to count that on your service hours - you are suppose to not be here if you follow the elders ORDERS !!!) Bad bad bad ... (and desparatly funny).

And no this thread is not for you (you just can't get it) but for those who can ... you actually just prove what we are saying ...oy oy oy ... Thanks !

os ... can't remember all the 'nice' things you said about me ... gracious and caring and all .. oh well.

Did it ever cross your mind .. you may need a good swift (verbal) kick in the but?

Maybe it is showing REAL concern for you by steering in the right direction?

Big Tex ... I also said if a person didn't find the answers on the JW website ... to talk to an elder.

I used the term apostate site because so many here call it that ... plus many here call themselves apostates.

So you got stuck being the designated moderator? I'm sure you are with the rest of them in thought.

'Tis a beautiful sunny day ... I"m outta here ... only allow nice things said in my absence .. ok?

    Previously Afriendinneed wrote:

I think I made the point that you can go to www.watchtower.org for your answers.

I did just that. But as I showed on page 17 of this thread, no answers were forthcoming at the watchtower site.

I went to the site as requested and since I couldn't find anything directly, I placed each of Old Soul's queries into the search available at the site and this is what I got:

    1) the Faithful and Discreet Slave is a class of people

    Search Results Error

So when I limited the search to "Faithful & Discreet Slave" only, the only one result was returned:

    Search Results

Your search for Faithful and Discreet Slave returned 1 results.
    1 shown below.

    1.

Comfort for Those With a "Stricken Spirit" - Jehovah's Witnesses Official Web Site
Some have no thought of having been molested until, unexpectedly, they experience flashbacks and 'memories' of an adult (or adults) abusing them when they were young.

    Search for documents containing:

    Brief Listing Expanded Listing

This one response had nothing to do with answering the question, it simply used the terminolgy in an article,so there was no answer to that question on the site.

    2) that the holy spirit directs organizations in addition to individuals

    Search Results Error

Our system was unable to find matching articles to your query. You may try using more specific words or word stems to refine your search criteria. Once you have made the necessary correction(s), click Find. Additional help can be obtained by reading the "search tips."

    Again no answers

3)the Faithful and Discreet Slave is responsible for revealing "new light" (as opposed to "food at the proper time") to anyone,

    Search Results Error

Hmmm, am I beginning to see a pattern here?

    4) Jehovah deals with individual other sheep differently than the little flock

    Search Results Error

Yes, yes I am seeing a pattern.

So it would seem that going to the watchtower site doesn't give the answers to the questions.

    I did find this though:
A person should make sure that his beliefs can be supported by the Scriptures, for there is only one true faith.

If demanding you believe in something that ISN"T supported by scripture is acceptable to the watchtower org., then why would they tell you that you should be sure your beliefs can be supported by scripture? Are they liars? Are they just mistaken? Are they deliberatly picking and choosing things in order to control others?
