    Scoobie,

    On Joker's comment...

    Judge for yourself.

If your child was molested, lost your wife, etc.. perhaps you would have a tad of hatred too???

scoobie (if you are still around),

I am also an active JW. I noticed another JW made an offer to discuss some of your concerns further. I will make the same offer.

I will also make a comment on one topic. If my child were molested, I would not hesitate to go to the authorities or seek professional help for my child.

Excellent! I'm truly glad to hear that.

Unfortunately this organization has tried to keep parents from doing just that by threatening them with disfellowshipping. Worse still, that has kept some parents quiet.

I am still around. I will continue to be. I will keep you updated on what transpires.

I thank those who are JW's that have contributed as well. I agree with the staements made that JW's are not bad people. And it's not the people I have issues with, it's the doctrines of the religion. I hope they can understand that. I had already told them that I could never see myself as a baptized JW. That didn't seem to bother them, and said there are plenty of people that study with them for years and years before becoming baptized. I don't know if it really doesn't matter, or if they just are confident that in time, I would become baptized. I just don't see any point in continuing to study and take up not only their time but mine as well if I have no intention of ever becoming a practicing JW.

How about taking one doctrine at a time? You will certainly get a mixture of information here.

You also said you enjoyed learning some things during your study, so why not give JW's a chance to respond to some of the things you have been told here?

You can pm me if you like, there is a fairly good chance I will be drowned out here.

Yes Shadow i do hope you will be drowned out here . Scoobie what will happen if you and your husband join the jws and one day one of you decides that you no longer want to be a jw,do you think your marriage will stay intact? Will your children be affected? We here have nothing be good intensions in trying to help you see the truth behind jws, we are hoping to save you the misery so many face with being associated with jws. I am married to a jw life is sometimes unbearable. The jws come before me or my children and since i left the jws i am an evil apostate wit ties to satan. Please don't let this happen to you.

Why a private conversation? Why not out in the open? Let's pick one doctrine at a time and discuss the pros and cons out in the open. If they JWs really have the truth, they have nothing to hide. If it's really the truth then it can't be refuted. Go ahead, pick a doctrine unique to Jehovah's Witnesses and let's put it to the test.
