Yes, that is exactly what happened about 5 years back in our KHall.
I objected to the loss of "our spiritual heritage", and took the box of books out of the trash bin and hid the books under the hall.
This made me curious as to WHY they wanted to remove them? What was the content of those books that were once "spiritual food from Jehovah"?
Then once I started reading the content...well...wow! "Once revealed, never concealed"
I think it's absolutely disgraceful. Its like they are ashamed of their heritage. Its a bit like a wealthy American family erasing their family history because they didn't like their poor/humble beginnings that might appear embarrassing.
I personally think this is sacrilege. Its also shameful. As an organisation if they are the truth, they should be proud of their heritage. But they aren't, instead, they 'appear' (by their actions) to be embarrassed. Imagine the Catholic church throwing all their ancient books out. Not a chance.
It proves beyond all doubt the WT society is a bullshit organisation trying to hood wink its members.
They are bullshit artists and charlatans. I feel so sorry for their members who throw themselves into this BS.
In 50 years most here will be gone, and so goes access to these dying books that tell the truth about the org. Someway need to get this information into the cloud to out survive us and our overlapping generation.
Frankly, I'm kind of surprised they haven't started doing it sooner.
Frankly this is the best destination for all and any JW literature--in the waste bin. I honestly can't think of anything printed in such quantity which has proved to be less useful, all of it was worthless tripe.
The next development after this is completed will be to have the broadcasts shut down as well and prevent the JW org leaders from misleading any more people. . .

But it is a corporation making the decisions to insure the existence of the corporation. Every single decision is made for that outcome.
They’ve got millions of $$$ they are trying to protect.
I think I might start collecting these on eBay, etc. I read a complete set of their crazy is worth thousands - $30K or something like that yrs. ago. I'd already thrown everything out but tried to collect everything possible that was offered the short time I could. A library of that junk would be amazing -- maybe in the garage or storage facility.

True, but it’s useful now. Useful in debunking their bullshit, so the rubish bin is the last place it should go
If I decide to sell my collection of Watchtowers 1951-1999 including the generation May 84 one would anyone be interested?
One day the Watchtower will be nothing more than a shipwreck on the seas of history. So I agree with you Ultimate Axiom that for the moment with the deliberate book-burning by the org, we do need to preserve the evidence to demonstrate their earlier false promises and mind manipulation. And thanks for the archive references, they will still be needed for some years.
