Freddo- I agree with what you said about Tommy Robinson‘s breach of the terms of this freedom. The law is the law. Law is what protects the least among us. Law.

But where is the law now?

When injustice is allowed, favoritism of one sort or another, there will be trouble coming.

I am afraid that Tommy Robinson’s tactics have muddied the water in this business. But the fact does remain that the powers are violating freedoms by putting fear on people for simply wanting to know what is going on. Journalists need to be brave. Newspapers have to be brave. Serve without prejudice.

Meanwhile, the judge who sentenced him also ordered the British media not to report on his case. Newspapers that had already posted reports of his arrest quickly took them down. Even ordinary citizens who had written about the arrest on social media removed their posts, for fear of sharing Robinson's fate. All this happened on the same day.

Justice has been lazy in this whole mess of the sex gangs. It was needed a long time back for those girls. They were “throw-aways” from society. And finally there was outrage.

As Freddo says, take a long look at what’s going on. It is possible that there were other non-Muslims involved in this mess. In the US there are sex traffickers that we’re hiding in business communities. This idea that Muslims are/were the only ones that did this is absolutely stupid. Really stupid. It would be no surprise that peeling back this chaos you discovered that the authorities would rather have riots over “dirtyMuslims” than show how truly corrupt and heartless they’ve been about sex trafficking among vulnerable populations.

Insist on Justice. Make it serve everyone.

edit: not to say that Britain doesn’t have a problem with Muslim radicals. I have tried to keep up with that. And I saw an interview time he did with an MP who is of a sort that l thought was sensible. My view from across the pond.

    Hi humbled - thank you.

For clarity - I certainly believe that "Muslim" or Pakistani" men in rape and grooming gangs have been allowed too much slack because of political correctness gone crazy. I believe that is now being addressed, but go back five, ten or fifteen years and the same stupidity that allowed "Muslim" hate preachers "freedom of speech" which I believe radicalised young men went unchecked too often.

    First, who is Tommy Robinson?

His fans make him out to be some kind of hero; his many enemies make him out to be a total fascist, Hitler Mk II.

He is neither. He's just an ordinary, rough-around-the-edges guy. He is a member of the Brtish white working class. He has the air of a football fan who likes a scrap. He recently spent a few months inside for fraud. Obviously fraud is illegal but it's obvious the authorities were looking to silence Robinson from talking about Islam and related controversies and they went through his background, his finances, and found irregularities.

But where is the law now? - no, it's more like: where was the law for decades in multiple English towns when Asian men were abusing white girls?

Where was the law in the late 90s/early 00s, when the police closed off roads near Finsbury Park mosque so that Abu Hamza, the retard with hook hands, could spew anti-British, anti-Western hate speech to a bunch of like-minded extremists?

Where was the law in 1989 when British Muslims were openly calling for the death of Salman Rushdie? ... Wanna guess how many were arrested on charges of inciting violence?

When injustice is allowed, favoritism of one sort or another, there will be trouble coming - the only injustice is favouritism for Muslims, softly-softly for Muslim terrorists, and coming down hard on people like Tommy Robinson.

This idea that Muslims are/were the only ones that did this is absolutely stupid - the data from Rotherham, Telford, Rochdale and other towns show precisely this, that British Muslim men were nearly exclusively abusing white girls. Go look at the cases. Go examine the data. Go read the articles - the names of the criminals are typically Muslim ... Mohammed, Noor, Ahmed, Tariq, Rahman, Abdul, Hussein, Hassan, Ali, etc.

British Muslim males make up 2% of the UK population but were grossly over-represented in all these cases.

It would be no surprise that peeling back this chaos you discovered that the authorities would rather have riots over “dirtyMuslims” - this shows supreme ignorance of British authorities and their attitudes towards Muslims/Islam. The last thing they want is for people to call Muslims 'dirty'.

Look I'm all for punishing white paedophiles as much as Muslim ones.

But when you have individuals from 2% of the population responsible for c. 90% of child abuse in multiple British towns, and when the authorities are only just dealing with it after decades, and when said authorities arrest someone for live-streaming outside a court - well, what the fuck is going on?!

Luhe— read what l said. All of it. Justice has been lazy in this whole mess of the sex gangs. It was needed a long time back for those girls. They were “throw-aways” from society. And finally there was outrage.

when the law is absent for any body at any time there will come a reckoning.

l read a lot of Tommy’s background long before this post. And of the rape groomers—they were given a pass. Stop reacting. Read. Please.

Luhe— Edit: Yes— what the fuck is going on? It looks like inept governing. Should be a matter of law not religion.

If there is a court order on reporting how come it is a lead article on The Independent website?

Except for the inconvenient fact that multiple pedophile gangs in multiple UK cities are 99% Muslim.

No wonder the govt are terrified of the potential for riots.

Because outlets who want to do hit-pieces on him presenting him as a radical extremist will be allowed and given a free pass because they promote the authority narrative and counter any independent reporting that does happen.

Except for the inconvenient fact that multiple pedophile gangs in multiple UK cities are 99% Muslim. No wonder the govt are terrified of the potential for riots.

There should be riots but then that tends to be something the left specializes in. It's actually astounding how little outrage and public demonstration there has been - but then the way the media portray and silence those who do speak out is intended to act as a deterrent against people speaking up. Again, the shrieks of racism are what allow serious crimes and injustices to happen and it needs to be made unacceptable and ignorable.

If the police won't act then eventually something has to give - either society crumbles and accepts this kind of crime as "OK" or people take action themselves. Ultimately, the latter is actually better for society and for law and order in the medium and long term, it's one of those cases where taking the law into your own hands is 100% justified IMO. Justice must catch up with these people.

cofty—The issue is the long failure of justice. If a law is broken then what penalty follows? None? The pendulum swings wildly in that case.

Freddo mentioned hate speech in the preaching of Imams years ago.Are there laws in Britain that could have addressed this?

Why did the rape gangs go on so long? Wasn’t this against the law? The high class girls weren’t disappearing were they? Or did l miss that.

It was a good thing when a few months past the Britain was going after the Church of England and others for child sexual abuse—far easier to make the case that the law wants to keep children safe from rape perpetrated by any one of any religion—not just Muslims. Get on it!

edit: TheUS has had a big problem with sex trafficking of girls through an online advertising group, Backpage. Lots of people getting on the bandwagon of trafficking. Not saying the Muslims were and I’m 99% of it there. But I still would not be surprised if they were more using the services

Why did the rape gangs go on so long?

Because 'leftie' social workers were too afraid of being accused of racism and too indoctrinated with multiculturalism to make a stand.
