Wow LMSA that was a crazy thread. I had completely forgotten about it. He claimed to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown just because of some comments on an Internet forum. Wow! Compare that with the genuine upset he has caused so many people who have had the misfortune of crossing his path in life.
I took a mild dislike to him early on, but I never imagined how unpleasant a person he truly is. If it wasn't for his own confession video I would have had trouble even believing it.
Something I picked up from his list... only 2 of them are about JWs on a personal level (masturbation and higher education). The rest are just his pseudo intellectual crap that, like Simon says, no one cares about.
But, when complaining about their teachings that affect people personally, it's just yanking off and going to school. We all know why he chose the first, and I'm guessing he has a beef about the higher education because he thinks he'd be a world-famous philosopher or millionaire business leader or something, if only the JWs hadn't stopped him from going to uni.
My real point though... when choosing things that affect JWs on a personal level, not only does he fail to mention CSA but he also doesn't say anything about how women are treated, the WT's racism over the years, the physical abuse of children they call "discipline," and of course shunning, among so many others.
None of those things affected him personally, so of course they didn't even enter his brain.
When I was a JW, my mother never hit me but I was traumatized for the kids who got theirs. The way women were/are treated turned my stomach.
But Lloyd? He's never thought about anyone else but himself at all, ever, a day in his life.
That list of grievances, trying to make himself sound ... well, I don't know what - clever? intellectual? important?
He’ll likely deny it, but the 9 grievances are his version of the 95 Theses of Martin Luther against the Catholic Church. Either he was a better than average secondary student or he picked that up from reading Ray Franz’s books. He knew he was writing a book and he viewed himself as a modern day Luther. (He was a doubting Christian when he wrote the 9 grievances).
In addition to the “King of the North”, the Memorial partakers increasing sounds a bit contrived. Why not just mention the 1914 doctrine, which was the ultimate source of his suspicions regarding the increased Memorial partakers?
Same with masturbation. It would have better to just critique the org’s strict policy on sex and their efforts to police it even between married couples. He was married at the time he wrote it, which would imply he was still heavily into that, pornography and cybersex at the time he wrote the 9 grievances (represented in his book as the year 2011).

Lloyd wanted to sue those who did the most to expose his depravity. But that lawsuit seems to have become a petrified relic. Dijana seems to have acquiesced to being the wife of an unfaithful husband. Lloyd's children are beautiful, smart, and sweet. Sadly, the internet has a long memory, and it is inevitable that they will one day know more than one side of their father's story. With so many people who are knowledgeable about Watchtower's skullduggery, Evans should have the decency to quit pretending to be the face of Watchtower opposition. Evans doesn't represent anyone's values but his own. Other people are exposing Watchtower's multi-faceted con, one facet at a time,... doctrinal, financial, power overlords. Evans needs to find honest work with which to maintain his family.
Evans has become like some old-timer politicians who keep running though they lost decisively more times that most people remember.
He is a failure. He won't be anything more than a failure.
Since February 1st he's lost 400 patrons. That's almost half of his peak this year. The trend will continue. Let him try and fund his whoring off what remains!

Lloyd had nothing at all to do with that podcast. Jill Owens, John Viney, myself and a whole host of other UK ex JWs gave information to the journalist. It’s a brilliant podcast isn’t it! I’d love to know who the anonymous ex circuit overseer is but obviously at the same time wouldn’t as they want and need to keep their anonymity.
Exactly, and like most politicians, all he can do is hope to run out the clock. The problem he has is his circle is so small it's gonna be almost impossible to do. Plus with younger more hip talent rising on YouTube/TikTok he starts to become forgotten. He thinks he is Teflon Don when in reality he's more like Anthony Weiner, it just took people a while to really figure it out.
