It was spring 1978: April Wine at the Aitken Centre in Fredericton, NB. Canada

Since, of course, I've seen so many it's not even funny.

I've seen: Tom Petty & The HeartBreakers, INXS, Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, Prism, Foo Fighters, Eddie Vedder, Mike Watt & The Minutemen, SNFU, Soup Dragons, Vice Squad, and the list goes on and on.

But these days, because of where I work, I get to see a variety of bands, as we host independent music nights 6 nights out of 7.

    Wild,

We've only recently discovered Nora Jones. That "Come away with me" is superb. I've made a CD for HL with all her stuff.

Now..who've I seen. Hmm..lot's of 60's bands! Crystals, Joe brown, Heinz..then in the 70's Bob Dylan, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Joan Armatrading, Eric Clapton..much later Elkie Brooks..yep. all great stuff!

HL and I now tend to go the classical route, I'm getting into opera quite a bit, it really pulls on the ole heart strings too.

    Englishman.

I think the first gig I ever saw was Terrorvision at the Manchester Academy. Since then,

Megadeth, Motorhead, Joe Satriani, Sheryl Crow, Terrorvision, No Doubt, Blondie, Kirsty McColl (sadly missed), Cocteau Twins at T in the Park, Terrorvision, and most recently

Suzanne Vega, on Sunday afternoon, In Liverpool. Wonderful.

And lots of bands at T in the Park. And Pulp at a festival in Warrington - can't remember what it was called.............

My first concert ever was Glen Campbell...that was around 1980.

Then 3 years ago, I saw "Weird" Al Yankovic.

    Last year I saw TOOL!

Last winter I saw Tori Amos

Last month I saw the Moody Blues.

Last night I saw Fleetwood Mac.

On Saturday, I am going to see Santana.

Am I making progress? My favorite has been TOOL....they were completely incredible and awesome.
