Certainly, smoking provided no protection from the onslaught of the Spanish flu. As a comentator of the times observed "they all died in equal numbers".
On the other hand, of course, if a person were looking for an excuse to restart the tobacco habit, then this would be a bloody good one!
The guy who swam through his Sheep Dip was certainly free of Ticks ! I guess it would have washed off the Flu' thing as well.
As to Smoking, I did wonder when I heard that smokers seemed less affected, that if their Lungs are full of Gunk and Gunge the 'rona Virus may not be able to latch on so easily ? Who knows ?
The danger is that a Smoker having a good cough up, not knowing the Virus has entered his or her body, will presumably expel more of the Virus than usually in to the Air.

What's he angry about? Should you be angry too? How about the "flu deaths" that a lot of lock-down decisions are ultimately based on are a big fat lie. They don't get the death rate from the number of deaths, they estimate the number of deaths from the rate they decided to use for their models. We know how "fantastic" models are now ...
Not sure if this has been talked about or not, but just saw this article indicating that the virus is mutating quickly and that could be an issue when looking to create a vaccine, not to mention that the new iteration is much more contagious.

I just heard the virus may be decreasing/lessening in strength for infection - reporting from Arizona scientist. Heard this twice today but who knows It depends which 'expert' you listen to or channel. I hope it doesn't nix out a vaccine but can't rely on one.
