Anti-American? Do people only want their own opinions allowed?

I completly disagree with what you have done. Dakota Red did not say anything negative about you on this board. I can understand his frustration. He is a Vetran, a man who fought for the USA and their freedom and gets no respect for that on this board. If I were him I too would be frustrated. You let TH call people names and be down right mean to them. You do this because he is one of the ones with your same political views. Dakota Red was merely blowing off steam and he respected you enough not to do it on your board yet you still delete him for it. I think you have gone to far this time Simon. Have you ever fought for your Country? It is obvious you haven't. You have no respect for military people nor for your country or anyone elses. You can delete me if you like I no longer care you went to far this time Simon.

With respect, I beg to differ.

TH has not been allowed to get away with anymore than other people have. His posts have been edited and insulting comments removed.

Perhaps you do not consider some of the other things that have been said by Dakota Red and others with similar opinions as insulting but they are.

He already made it perfectly clear that he didn't want to stay here and was actively trying to stir up trouble. This is not tolerated.

As for military people ... I have no more or less respect for them than I do for anyone else. I have respect for people who have respect for me and others.

It is unfortunate that some people cannot separate differences of opinion with insults or cannot seem to tolerate anyone having a different opinion than their own. What is truly sad is a bunch of people banding together because they only want to hear their side of things. Perhaps it's because they know their arguments are weak and easily countered? Who knows ...

this is probably way off subject.. but just replying only to the subject of this thread...

Bottom line is this... save the political partisan for AFTER the war, i think.. I mean, these guys and gals are over there doing their jobs, what they joined for... and us protesting, standing in front of the docks so they can't get supplies shipped, etc... is just a damned repeat of Vietnam. Sure, war is wrong, but in this imperfect world, it's necessary in order to get something taken care of because politicians can't figure shit out.

The Biggest issue should be us trying to support troops from our individual countries no matter what, so they don't lose morale and get killed.

    That's my opinion, damnit.

It is rather ironic that the human race can seldom discuss the issues of war without invariably starting yet another one.

I am very critical of Britain. I think it is a decaying, stagnant, stinking pit living on past glory and echoes of empire. We are incapable of carrying out any 'big project' and never seem to know where all the money goes ... we only get a poorly health system, second rate education system and crumbling infrastructure however much money is pumped in.

We seem to think that jumping on the American bandwagon will give us some sort of credibility amongst the international community.

    Abaddon:

I can stand up, I can talk. However, you cannot think. Your rationalizations were amusing, however, regarding your viewpoints, or "takes" of history, have no merit when compared with reality..... I pray to God Jehovah that you are not one of our educators in the US. Your views, in light of what really has happened, are irreverent!

Here is just only one example of your failed attempt to re-write history:

    """"My comments on the nasty piece of propoganda you posted (without reference);

In the name of this brand of "peace," Europe wrote off the Jews and Czechoslovakians to Hitler's tender mercies in the 1930s.

America didn't know about it see. They were so unaware of what was going on they didn't even realise there was a war going on for a while, and didn't join it until it suited their interests. """""

Europe did, in fact do this. You are either uniformed or can’t read, or both.

Even though the US was not the Issue regarding Europe, I will bite:

Hint: Roosevelt turned away a boat load of Jews that nobody wanted, with the knowledge of what was to become them.....do you recall the Name of the incident and the documentation that proved this?

    I won’t spoon feed you....................

You say you have deleted TH's comments and that he is judged with the same standards. Do I have to remind you of the fake names he set up when you tried to delete him. Also when you delete his post like so so and so is a a**hole the damage is done that person has seen it and is already hurt. Do you not understand that?

Yes this is sad and you are a prime example of this. Everytime I state something that is going on on the board that differs with your opinion you basically tell me I am clueless and do not know what is going on. I think you state this because I am making a valid point and you have no other way to argue it. You know what you have done is in violation # 9 of the rules states "To ensure all users feel safe and keen to participate, please avoid: Invading people's privacy" was this statement not on a private board. Are you not invading this man's privacy?

I have lost count of the number of times TH has been deactivated. He has had numerous comments edited. But like a lot of poster who have been banned he was let back on once things had settled.

But what is really cant understand what you mean by this :

Also when you delete his post like so so and so is a a**hole the damage is done that person has seen it and is already hurt. Do you not understand that?
Yes it is hurtful and unforturnate and that is why comments like that are removed as soon as they are spotted but you seem to be saying that when someone posts something like that, its Simon's fault even though he edits them when he see them. What do you expect him to do - vet every single post before it's submitted to the board just in case someone has said something hurtful.
