Hey @stuckinarut2 Things were going along smoothly. But I had a big setback last night that's got me in a bit of a funk. An old friend of mine is getting married this Sunday. I had a panic attack just thinking about driving into the Kingdom Hall for the ceremony. The thought of entering a hall again after making a heady break for it a couple of months ago makes me feel like I'm taking a giant step back. So many post traumatic stress flashbacks. I so badly want to forget going to the ceremony and just attending the reception in the evening, but I promised to take the mother of the bride home after the ceremony and escort her to the reception venue later on.

Guys, has anyone entered a hall again after being tried for aspostasy and escaping a final verdict of disfellowshipping? I'm rapidly losing the wind out of my sails :(.

Hey sis! (And I mean that in the best possible way - NOT in the JW way)

Attend the wedding. Be confident and strong, and show by the dignified manner that you deport yourself, that you have come to watch the wedding - that is all.

Do not allow anyone, especially those elders you were railroaded by in the recent past, to overstep appropriate boundaries! If they try and make small talk - or worse, do NOT engage. Simply be polite, and say "Isnt this a lovely wedding? Lets enjoy the day". And CLOSE the conversation down.

    Much love!

@stuckinarut2 Okay. Just the idea of setting foot in such a corrupt, f*cked up place like a KH where SO many heartaches have occurred makes me tense up and feel sick inside :(. I'm really unnerved at the idea of going back into that building of lies.

Wake me up, there is precedent of a bloke turning over the tables and condemning the religious leaders, that's last resort if things get out of hand. If anyone gives you shit tell them you seen a demon in the KH. You could make up a story about a neighbor in need and ask for volunteers to help the elderly lady , I promise you won't ever hear from them again. Remember you are walking amongst demons entering the Jw temple.

@Chook Lol, now THAT would make the wedding extra memorable for the conservative couple. By "neighbor in need", are you referring to a fictitious "worldly" person? Also, the ironic thing is, the bride-to-be and her mother ARE my neighbors. They're literally in the apartment next to me. We share a wall.

I'll assume that because you need to tell people you're fully awake means you really aren't. Also you have to ask for people to reach out means you don't have all the answers. Let's not call people out on a 4th grade education.

Imagine what you could accomplish with everlasting life, you could teach people the difference between your and you're. Your life would have so much purpose and meaning. Maybe learn what men actually want or make a enema malt liquor.

You're not new now. I'm glad the bOrg didn't assimilate you. It's always a pleasure reading your posts. Continue to continue, continually continuing in continuity.
