Loved the travel agent ones nicolaou!

    Here's one:
We know that the title "Free Willy" is more suitable for a porn film than a kids film.

... and no claiming that it's just a case of language useage because it's OUR language

This is getting very picky now isn't it ?
Er... do we have an independant adjudicator keeping score ?

Okay, the score will now adjust accordingly.

    We have the Grand Canyon.

    We have Yellowstone Park.

We do not ride horses to chase after foxes with packs of dogs while dressed in our "pinks", so that said dogs can rip the poor innocent creature to shreds while the riders congratulate themselves on their "skill" and "bravery".

    We have quahogs, and lobsters.

We actually have areas that can be considered wilderness....with real wild animals.

Toilet paper is here in abundance.

    And what about Kleenex?

Okay, the score will now adjust accordingly.

    We have the Grand Canyon.
****We have the Cheddar Gorge**** (you know you're jealous)

    We have Yellowstone Park.
    ****We have Alton Towers****

We do not ride horses to chase after foxes with packs of dogs while dressed in our "pinks", so that said dogs can rip the poor innocent creature to shreds while the riders congratulate themselves on their "skill" and "bravery".
****Less than 0.2% of Brits take part in hunting. What percentage of Americans carry GUNS?

    We have quahogs, and lobsters.
****Not sure what a quahog is but I get my lobsters from Tesco****

We actually have areas that can be considered wilderness....with real wild animals.
    ****You mean the Bronx?****

Toilet paper is here in abundance.
****That's 'cause there's so much crap!****

    And what about Kleenex?
    ****What about it?****

Okay I think perhaps we should start to think about calling this a draw [that's a 'tie' to you Americans].

After all, we all want to stay buddies right? RIGHT!?

    I'll just leave you with this;

This is the transcript of an ACTUAL radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995.
(Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations 10-10-95.)

Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a collision.

Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

USA: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.

Canada: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.

USA: This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second largest ship in the United States' Atlantic Fleet. We are accompanied by three destroyers, three cruisers and numerous support vessels. I demand that you change your course 15 degrees north, that's one five degrees north, or counter measures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship!!!

Canada: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

Yes, Americans may be ignorant to the rest of the world because we think America is the best, but when was the last time anybody heard about Great Britian having an immigration problem? seriously now, everybody knows America has better opportunities for education, rights, and freedom, which is why half the world wants to move here.

I think this is getting out of hand ....

Obviously there's a lot of hostility towards people because they live in the US and some arrogance from Americans because they do live in the US. I was hoping this would be a community without borders.

I lost count of the score, but my feeling is that it's probably about:

    UK: -50 gazillion
    US: -50 gazillion

I'm off to live in Yemen.

All joking aside d0rkyd00d, this is really quite a serious issue in the UK.

Just this week a lorry driver was imprisoned for 14 years for allowing 58 illegal immigrants to die in his truck. You can read the story here http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/newsid_1258000/1258240.stm

The level of paranoia, distrust, bigotry and out & out racism that many British people display to those coming here looking for a better life is something I find truly shameful.

You can read a very well reasoned consideration of the facts at http://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/0201/news/myths/myth001.htm
