In your memory, what was the nicest day you had out in field service?

Without bothering to read any of the other posts, as I do not consider any day could be counted as 'good' (refer to the meaning of nice) out in so called field service, but, if I had one in memory, it would be the day in November 1988 when witnessing around my local town, and I said to myself "This is the last time I am doing this shit". And that was it. No more. A pleasant day indeed.

Cheeses. No fond memories of the cult - it was all fucked up from the word go.

The last time me and my two daughters went out, 2 weeks prior to leaving for good. The 'active force' prayed for exclusively by Jehovah's Witnesses and which gives them their strength to preach was not with us any more. We knew we had been freed of something evil. We lasted 8 minutes as 3 uninfluenced individuals, chucked our bags in the boot of the car and went home. A week later we trashed everything jw-related we found in the house. It was over.

I was about 8 years old at the time. It was a Saturday morning and we started at the first house about 9:30 in the morning. At the second house, some little dog (looked like a Chihuahua) nipped my pant leg. My mother swung her service bag at it and it ran behind the house.

When she pulled up my pantleg, the skin was broken. So she took me to the hospital around the corner and I got a tetanus shot and a bandaid. I was in and out of the hospital in less than 30 minutes.

I was back home by 10:30 or so watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Yes I do remember after service an older sister would gather up all us younger ones

to go to jack in the box. We used to get tacos and burgers. That was the best memory of service.

The rest was simply hell after that.

An elderly gentelman in Belize, he reminded me of my grandfather.

He lived alone in the bush. He invited me in and we set on the verando

in the back of his home overlooking this breathtaking view of the forest.

I remember he told me, he is in his paradise. We talked for hours, drinking

    lemonade and enjoying the view.

Legion Solo: Lol...HAHA...."I don't always go out in service, but when I do I prefer to

go wasted. Stay apostate friends." -quoted from Legion Solo

I think a lot of these experiences show why the Org. stressed service.

You build relationships and have some pleasant memories to get you through the boring parts. To me service was a chance to hang out with my friends and catch up with the latest news. Making prearrangements was the key to a good service day.

Breaks were the best time ( unless you were on a budget, then it sucked to order water while everyone else was eating)

When I got older and moved to a Congo. where I didn't know anyone, I was miserable out in service.

"I don't always go out in service, but when I do I prefer to go with the hottest Bros available."

    -"Stay apostate my friends."

I don't remember the nicest day in the ministry right now, but I clearly remember the day when a brother that looked like Anthony Perkins in Psycho was introduced to me as if he was a great catch that I should be very grateful to work with, and another day shortly after that when an elderly sister winked at me when he was passing by.

So Apostatethunder - What 's the deal on Anthony Perkins?

Either he's a member of the GB or a an elder in good standing, or he left and has all kinds of perverted porn on his computer . . .or he's still in and has all kinds of perverted porn on his computer ( and I'd just like to say there's nothing wrong with porn unless it's the kind where they kill someone have sex with the corpse or animal/human situations)
