still thanking: if your asking if i hear audable voice no, yes you can say from the bible ,i like how you put in there a?written by people" but you did not add god inspired. the only thing i can say personally is i have been a new creation, the physical things have been my desire before and now i desire spirtual things. and im not talking like a jw does. i desire to be holy and to grow in holiness.

Maybe they are humbly saying it... as in not wanting to deny Him, simply because some people will accuse them of being proud or arrogant or whatever.
As for calling oneself a slave or a servant - why is this shameful? He served (and still does serve) us as well.
