My former wife's family is Jewish. Her sister is Orthodox.
The sister-in-law's husband told me an Orthodox Jew has special college textbooks exclusively for them which OMIT any mention of
any scientific facts disputing Noah or setting forth evidence that any part of the Hebrew scriptures is not literally true.
The JW's share this view that one must never confront facts against their position.
Be it noted that Reform Jews have no qualms whatever in accepting most of the Hebrew Scriptures as mythos.
Theirs is a practical view and their love for their own family traditions does not need to include actual belief in the impossible.
