Abiblestudent I'm still christian but not into religion at all. I think I had a hard time forgiving myself because, at least in the religion, I became the BAD one! LM went around all "poor me" I had a BAD wife that left me. The congregation followed suite and treated me like I was a whore.

Found Sheep

The next two months are such a blur. For two weeks I sat in a chair and watched tv, not even knowing what was on. For anyone that has suffered through JC, it is just plain wrong. The whole idea that three men are there asking questions that are completely none of there business. Then to judge you, they decide if God is going to destroy you at the big A.

I went to most meetings and tried to get my brain working again.

My brother decided I needed to stay with him for a while. My brother and SIL are supper JW's. They have two boys that were then 4,6. I got lectures every night and they tried to dictate every move I made. I just went from a control marriage and didn't need it. The house was small. I hid vodka in my things to survive!

This at first wasn't a bad idea. LM decided to tell Ahab's wife and I felt I needed to stay away till his divorce was final.

LM decided he deserved all the money that we had saved for 13 years. About 30-40 thousand. I was homeless jobless and had only saved a few hundred on me, plus a credit card that I was running up.

It took me a month to get my nurse lisence in the new state and a job.

I moved to the Ghetto's of NC. No joke I had drug dealers and prostitutes as neighbors.

I still believed it was the "truth" but decided I needed two weeks off of meetings. I had so many voices telling me what to do and just needed some time to think.

After the two weeks I looked up the address, got dressed to go and could not find it. I drove around for an hour or so then went home. I did this for about two weeks then decided that I just wasn't going back at this time. About a month later I was driving home and there it was. The KH on the same road I tried finding it all the time. I personally think this was a miracle! Some angle knew I had a chance to break free but needed more time.
