Some of them might be relieved you have slowed your yak down a bit.

My brain has trouble keeping up with rapid-fire chatter and sometimes I have to ask people to slow down.

Now that you have had your warning shot across across the bows you can pull in a couple of sails and calmly head towards some friendlier waters.

I have just returned from an imaging specialist, having had an ultrasound performed on the carotid arteries. They are 100% clear and the blue and red flow is normal. Next week, the neurologist

    That is really good news!..

Greetings, Sizemic, Black Sheep and Snoozy:

Thank you for your good thoughts and wishes. It's a pleasure hearing from you.

Yes, Sizemic, I am the better for it, it would seem, in many ways. I hate being overly confident, but I made it through the night w/o the usual half-dozen trips to the bathroom and awoke bright-eyed and bushy tailed. That is not normal for CoCo! Medication for blood pressure and prostate in combo ...

You're funny Black Sheep! I do have my contemplative side but that which is Mediterranean - bubbly and conversant - demands (in all fairness to awed listeners) that I should have a spike driven through my head.

Snoozy, it is very good news. Thanks for your post.

Love to you all and grateful thanks for your support.

Glad to hear everythings improving and it was truly the wise thing to make sure that nothing serious was sneaking around in your body

CC did you look up the side effects of the drugs to know what to expect? I guess you already found out about the peeing..lol But the Doxazosin can also cause dizziness and headaches at first..they say to get up slowly until you get used to it. I am on Plavix and it is similar to the aggrenox..Next year Plavix is supposed to go generic as it is pretty expensive now if you don't have insurance..have they told you of any dietary restrictions on the Aggrenox?

So glad you had it checked out and are taking precautions now..

    Hugs, Snoozy

Thank you, Snoozy and Nancy and Syl:

You are so kind and loving; I'm very grateful.

I am able to be active, but I have to think through things before I act, becoming very short-tempered and angry. A former social worker said that I must be patient with myself. A local therapist has offered to help me for free. I dread the paperwork I have to do amidst more testing. Under the best of circumstances, paperwork related to health care is *@&%@$!^! I had an advocate help me several days ago when I could hardly speak.

Thanks for your support. I'm getting plenty of help, but I can't clear the confusion out of my head ...

    Love you all,

    CoCo

But CC on the other hand you are thankfully still here to feel the anger/confusion and it will get better with time.....(and we are glad)

To think, FHN, that I have an unopened bag of flax seed in my cupboard.

Coco and Ziddina, be sure to grind it up to get the benefits from it. Even if you take blood pressure meds or cholesterol lowering meds, flax can help you a lot.
