Peter, it's no different in the world, sometimes. So I don't want to encourage you to leave something you truly believe in.

You may need to continue pray to God, but you too may have to make certain changes. Maybe you're doing something that's a turn off (ponder your thoughts) or maybe you're in a cong. with clicks and need to go outside your area to make new JW friends and or pick up a hobby to keep you busy. You gotta find a passion other then bible banging...somthing that you really enjoy.

The big question could be....maybe you're not being answered, because you really want out. Why should he bring you friends in your cong....if you really want out and don't really want to be there. That may be your answer. You need to be honest with yourself....

If you don´t feel like you have friends then WATCH the young people ask DVD. How do I make friends? It has got some great pointers. I have been to MANY halls and always walked away with good friends. People that LOVE the truth, will love you. These apostates here do not love you. Nor God anymore. They are false friends like Job had.

LOL, now thats classic. I don't know whats funnier. Your suggestion, or Carlos Zambrano losing it tonight in the Cubs dugout.

Logical fallacy here: If they love the truth, they will love you.

Someone needs to take a critical thinking class.

That video was more about how to avoid non-JW's than how to find real friends.

I went to the khall and started shaking everyone's hand along with a greeting, and they looked at me like I was a freak.

That video isn't worth the plastic it's printed on, especially if your khall lacks decent manners and social skills.

If your 'not' a troll xpeter, I know how ya feel. I'm currently trying to find a 'network' I match with, in regards to beliefs.

    JWs - X

Ex JWs - (so far) X

    Athiests - X

    Mainstream religions - X

Would say non denominational, but so far they all seem very denominational and based on the preacher.

If a real 'bible students' existed, free, open discussion, trying to learn more and does believe in bible, that would be it.

As for friends in general, look for things involving hobbies or activities you like that are open to public would be my 1st suggestion. Especially since finding out your own beliefs and ones like minded, depending where you end up, can be a long journey.

PETER X- I feel for you. I was in the witnesses for 44 years. By the time I exited in 2003 - I had no real unconditional friends. All my friendships were conditonal if I went to the kingdom hall if I raised my hand and commented , or gave awesome talks on the platform , or went out in field service midweek & weekends, or auxiallry pioneered often, carried a microphone down an aisle, read paragraphs, handed out magazines at a counter, sang loudly the song in intermissions , and didn't go potty disturbing others during the song.

The point I'm making is this : You'll have a lot more caring unconditional friends outside the witnesses. If you ever want to PM me and talk, I'm here. Hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

the WTS may have changed much...from when I was in. If they are demonizing people for not being the perfect witness.....that's not true love is...

Flipper that was a real nice response....truly appreciated even by me...

If you want out Peter.....don't beat yourself up for it....there's nothing wrong with you......if the WTS isn't the place for you....it's just that, not right for you.

To be honest, I left because I became very depressed. A single person, alone. Bible banging was my only friend. I had a few friends but they weren't always around....and I was just plain bored out of my mind which lead to depression. I'm a creative and love lifes misfits. When I got home from meetings.....boy did I really feel alone. I couldn't take it anymore.

I finally left and made lots of friends on the outside. And now, I have a select few....and now, rather a loner by choice...maybe age...or my new nature. However, I'm happy.....I feel alive.....free.......because if I choose.....there's still lotz of things I can do and people I can see.....life is huge.....just to have that choice......for me personally..... is amazing. And yes, the WTS if a very conditional drag!

Peter, Flip is a real sweet guy. When he offers his hand in friendship you better believe he means it. I met him last year in Tahoe along with his lovely wife. Beautiful people (they've called me a few times - loved it), even my husband likes them alot and can't wait to get back to Tahoe to see them.

Um....OF COURSE IT´S CONDITIONAL! So was the Israelites remember? They were NOT to talk and hang out with members of other nations who didn´t serve Jehovah. I have NO idea why you people think this is something new! Jehovah WANTS IT that way!!! He doesn´t want his people mingling with worldly ones. WHY? For the same reason this site is up. Because Satan has overtaken all of you and turned you away from serving Jah.

I wouldn´t associate with anyone that didn´t serve Jehovah too. And I have MANY friends! It will be so beautiful in the new system without the people that don´t serve God. No backstabbing, no problems of any kind.
