Below are quotes from the Watchtower. They don't seem to be in agreement with what you say. How can you have discernment between truth or falsehood when the annointed tell you that, as part of the Great Crowd, you don't have Holy Spirit and unable to read the bible on your own. Don’t you think that God in His wisdom would reveal truth to an individual, as I believe He does, and not to a single group of men because in the wrong hands it can be a dangerous thing? Just because a group of men say that they are annointed and are the only ones able to reveal truth to you doesn't make it so. Can't you see the danger in it?

The fact that the IBS as jehovah`s witnesses were known in Russells day beleived that jesus invisible presence began in 1874 (not 1914) and didn`t change that date untill the late 1930`s (and all this was proved by bible scripture according to them ) doesn that ring alarm bells???If jesus inspected the religions of the world in 1919, according to jw`s wouldn`t he have noticed that the witnesses were saying he was present (over thirty years) when he was not???? Why do you beleive jesus inspected the religions in 1919??? and found the IBS to be the only ones that were faithfull and discreet???? when in fact they were not???the watchtower says so???? Why do you beleive the watctower?? because the watchtower says so!????!!!Where is their any corroborative evidence of that??? See how you have been conditioned???You cant have your own questions,they have been provided for you,and so have the answers been provided for in their publications that is a form of manipulation where they control your thought patterns.The catholic church beleives the pope is the vicar of christ on earth.catholics beleive that,you don`t. why would any one beleive jesus chose the international bible students/jehovah`s witnesses when they were teaching error???for so many decades??? please do yourself a favour read Don camerons book, on line from lulu," Captives of a Concept".it will save you many years of bondage to a folly.

There is nothing, NOTHING , in the bible that eludes to Jesus taking power in 1914, there is however many verses that STATE he took power upon his ressurection when he took his place at the right hand of Our father.
Problem is that JW's witnesses DON'T read the bible, they DON'T read actual chapters and the actual books/letters of the OT and NT, they read what they are told to read by the WT from their heavly biased NWT.

The question isn't really whether you are following "men" but rather whether those men are actually what they say they are. The truth or falsity of following men vs following God depends on whether or not those men actually are the exclusive divine channel they claim to be.
Here I make two - as I would always defend - contentions:
1. There is no good reason to believe they are what they claim to be.
2. There are many good reasons to believe they are not what they claim to be.

The "faithful and discreet slave" is neither faithful nor discreet. It need go no further than than. At best, they are equivocal and bombastic.
Nobody who gives constant public reminders about the need to follow their direction on pain of death from above can possibly in any extent of the word be considered "discreet."
Nobody who fails to accept individual public responsibility for persuading an individual to die on false authoritative claims could possibly be considered faithful.
All "faithful" ones in the bible were identified by OTHERS not by themselves.
As an atheist, I tell you truly that the Pope is more faithful and discreet than the governing body. He also has a better understanding of the gospel message.
