It's easy to critisise the workers from the side of a field pointing out where they are going wrong but how can you get the wage unless you are working in the field?

Wrong work, wrong crop, wrong field! Matthew 13

1 Corinthians 3:11-13 (New International Version)

11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work.

Jesus is the Rock 1 Peter 2 Build on Him Luke 6:47-49

    false is false

Agreed! Conversely the truth is true. Clearly the WT do not speak the truth at all.

    and spreading falseness merits death

    bible's own words

Well that was Old Testament and Law. We are in the New Testament times now and there is Grace for those who choose it. That said, choose Grace, not the Law

    Hebrews 10:29 (New International Version)

29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

The symbol of the blood of the covenant is passed around the kingdom halls each year. The WT are careful to give people the pep talk to trample Jesus' sacrifice and insult His Sprit by "not partaking".

    All the best,

    Stephen

    hi jookbeard

lets lay this deut scripture to rest on false prophecy.

what Deut is really saying is that if someone is claiming to issue a divine prophecy and THAT does not come true, then they are a false prophet.

    Numbers 12:5-6 (New International Version)

5 Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the Tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them stepped forward, 6 he said, "Listen to my words:
"When a prophet of the LORD is among you,
I reveal myself to him in visions,
I speak to him in dreams.

The witnesses have never claimed to be visited in visions or dream inspired by God to utter prophetic words from them but this is the claim that the "prophet" in israel was making when he called himself a prophet. If you read Isaiah, Ezek or Jeremiah they are all contacted by Jehovah DIRECTLY in a vision and given a personal comission. This is what Deut is talking about *in context*. A prophet who claims to have been visited and comissioned personally by Jehovah in a vision or a dream. And some did claim this inspiration and prophecy falsely and they got penalised for this. But witnesses have only ever interpreted existing prophecy from the bible and NEVER claimed inspiration of that sort.

The thing is that any of you that have been witnesses will know this! as I do because we have never been taught that our leaders are inspired from God or have prophetic visions or dreams from God to repeat and follow. This is a made up accusation.

reniaa, do you believe the Watchtower?

    Watchtower April 1,1972 p.197

"This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses. They are still proclaiming a warning, and have been joined and assisted in their commissioned work by hundreds of thousands of persons who have listened to their message with belief"

Even they admit they are a prophet. Are you going to call them liars with the rest of us?

How can it be laid to rest if the WTS is so damn guilty of it's exact words

    hi Iwill

We are discussing false prophets and what biblically classifies you as one of them. Which means uttering a false prophecy, being a prophet in itself is another issue since you can have prophets that never uttered prophecy at all like aaron and miriam. who where called prophets despite never getting a prophecy shown to them.

    Exodus 15:20
Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.

here is one that is qualifying the word prophet to show it is in regards the acts of prophecy he is refering to not just being a prophet.

    Deuteronomy 13:1-3 (New International Version)

1 If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. here it say the prophecy can actually happen and take place as described but what makes it wrong is that it is done to a god that isn't Jehovah and they then asked to go worship them.

Lets bring the subject down to logical common sense, rather than bicker about what scriptures to quote relating if the JWS are truly false prophets.

Armageddon and the end times were and still are marketing schemes for their literature to make them more tantalizing to the readers.

This Publishing company started out exploiting and utilizing with these types of biblical doctrines to promote their literature, some 100 years ago.

There are many other so labeled groups calling themselves " the faithful and discrete slave " with different organized doctrines and some are also selling

their doctrines as well for profits. The true reality of the the WTS and the JWS backing them is they were complacently false for commercial reasons,

there lines their corruption, you see power and money has a way of doing that to men. In a effort to protect that obtained power they created what is known as

disfellowshipping . The bible doesn't warn against men who proclaim they are spiritually guided by god and are his voice for direct commercial reasons,

but it should have, it would have stopped or hindered the salable corruption and exploitation that so many have done already.
