Read it, heard it, caught it, called it for what it was...although as a minor I was still forced to attend meetings contrary to my beliefs. I even begged my father (a non practicing baptist) to not make me go, as I sided with jesus as my mediator....to no avail...

In CoC, Ray Franz said that when this teaching came out it drew a LOT of letters to the GB from distraught "other sheep".
Ray came to see that the organization was really supplanting the role of Christ, and I think that bothered him more than any other issue.
In view of the upcoming "Memorial season" (April 5, 2012), thought this might be an interesting thread to bump up ....
The Witnesses have been told to disregard old light so they don't read Studies In The Scriptures and have a difficult time understanding narrow this application to the 'Elect'.
