Warning: Mama6 website VIRUS

  Seems I am not the only one who got hit.

  My computer is still acting up even after downloading more security.

  Within 30 seconds of clicking on mamasix website link a couple of days ago I ended up with virus.

  Then, within a few hours I had 7 Trojan horses.

  The virus was HTML/Framer.2

  It is not healable. I locked it in vault, but some of these other attachements are still screwing with my machine.

  And not only that, but when I open your discussion on JWD, those ads seem to follow mama around.

  My machine is still messed up and since I am not so tech savvy, this is probably going to cost me money.

  So the story was they were moving a few days ago....now the story is the phone is being shut off because they can't pay the bills...

  oh, the new website infected everybody's computer, so they probably got paid for letting the host do that, plus what kind of donations have been sent to them???

  Who has time to start up a website on a moments notice and then commit to it during a move? And esp. when we are just now hearing about this move? I would think a move with 6 kids would take a lot of planning...not drop of hat.

  I am really pissed MY COMPUTER IS SCREWING UP EVEN AS I WRITE THIS.

  How did you find out you had the virus? Or the Trojan horses?

  I clicked on a link that someone had posted here, and looked at a couple of pages before exiting. I did not see this pop up, but can you get this virus just by accessing that website?

  I'm running a full virus scan just to be sure.

  I seriuosly doubt you got 7 trojans from one visit to her site. I've been around there browsing several times, and haven't gotten anything. Furthermore, I have no antivirus software, as I don't need it and it slows my computer down. Seems we have a case of post hoc here.

  I try to trust peoples motives unless there are hard facts not to.

  I've been on the site and no viruses or warnings, and my AV is up to date. At first, there were some pop up ads but they're gone now.

  Could you have inadvertantly clicked on one of the popup windows?

  There is no problem with the site.

  I went there today and my firewall did not go berserk. that does not mean there isn't something wrong. yesterday lots were registering and got no warning but my fiw blocked the site. are you sure it came from there?

  if so I'll be checking my machine carefully.

  I've had no problems with her site either and been on there since it opened.
  Any chance you hit a re-directer page and it gave you the viruses...only thing I hated was the full page pop-up ads but they are gone now. Yuo wouldn't happen to have a site by chance that is competing with amama's site would you???
