Haha! I just love it when people try to tell me what God is and isn't. The way they speak with such authority is sooooo amusing. Trinity, schminity. To argue about it is nothing but mental masturbation. In the end, IT DOESNT MATTER.
We will never understand God. It's hubris to think otherwise.

End of story till 200 years later.

The I AM theory is the dumbest weakest Trinity arguement in history. Paul said "who do you say I AM" in Acts using the exact same grammer soo was he secretly saying he's the 4th in the Trinity? Nowhere in bible garammar does it indicate that the scripture in Exodus and John are linked or refer to a "secret name" it is plain stupid....another dumb dumb dumb use of scripture...when they come to arrest Jesus the mob ask: "Are you Jesus" Answer "I AM" the crowd staggers back and is startled to meet this powerful magican....so there you go Trinity PROOF scripture, sooo dumb! Context, not grammar. Why would the Jews try to stone Jesus' apparent blasphemy in 8:59? When he said I AM (ego eimi, I am, and not "I was here" as you said), he was referencing something very well known to those around him-and they picked up stones.
Also, ponder this in John 5:46:
If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.
I do not know of any place where Moses wrote about Jesus. All he wrote about was Yahweh. Later prophets wrote about a coming messiah, but not Moses. So why did Jesus say Moses wrote about him?
Moses first reference to Jesus was in Genesis 'he will bruise you in the head and you bruise in heel etc"...there are many many Moses written prophecies about the messiah...........you did not address Jesus last comment which corrected them "why stone me.... I just said I was God's son." Blows that theory apart!
In John 8, where Jesus makes the ego eimi reference:

Where did Jesus say that on this occasion? He hid himself and there is no record here of him saying anything else.
