www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/115757/1.ashx . Does anyone remember the resolution in that thread from the 2006 Grand Boasting Session? That was the 7 point resolution where the last point was to shun materialism, chat rooms, entertainment, porn, and drunkenness.

Well, folks, I guess this is the beginning of the ban on entertainment. They are lumping it with "valueless things", and that goes for excess (meaning any more than the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger feels is absolutely necessary for continuation of human life) relaxation and sleep. They are also going to crack down on sex and money, two things above and beyond the resolution passed in 2006.

I am hoping that they do something so blatantly stupid, like an outright ban (a disfellowshipping offense) on sleep. That should really make them tank, since those that follow the ban will soon fall asleep in death, while anyone that takes a catnap will automatically be out of the congregation. I hope soon they will find themselves totally out of business.

I think their specific use of the year 607bc is a deliberate & planted thought stopper.

Seriously, the Wac Tower Bullshit and Crap Society is getting worst and worst. I'm glad I got out when I did and I think a lot more people will start to get that they are a cult. It still gets me aggressive when I read this kind of propaganda.

A sound rule is found in the words of the apostle Paul: "Do not go beyond the things that are written." Elders do not go beyound the things that are written in the Bible. And by extension, they do not go beyond the Bible-based counsel written in the publications of the faithful and discreet slave.

    Good catch.
They admit right there in two sentences in a row that they "go beyond the things written" in the Bible,
then justify it before those sentences are finished.

Boggles the mind. Thanks for posting this. Most brain-dead dubs will not notice this glaring omission:

"Is the one spreading(note the use of "spreading") this story acting in harmony with what the Bible says? (Read attack the person's reputation/motives/character)

Do these stories or allegations further Jehovah's purpose? (Do they promote the WTBTS and its aims)

Do they promote the peace of the congregation?(Do they uphold your current JW belief system and "spiritual delusion/paradise").

Anything we hear that tears down the brotherhood rather than builds it up is a worthless thing. (Read attack the person's reputation/motives/character)

Not one mention of: "Do these stories stand up to honest scrutiny? Have you researched whether these 'stories' might actually be TRUE?"

Thanks for posting this. I'm not getting the mags any more. I was wondering how long the private versions would be out before they cranked up the crazy level a bit.

TMS and Service Meeting are just sales meetings telling everyone their stupid if they aren't pioneering and don't have several Bible Studies.

Thank you! I wish people would realize that the blantant real organization is nothing more than a Watchtower Corporation to sell and bring money back to the home base.

The home base is to have power and control over a large group of people and create some kind of apocalypse fear campaign.

I am interested in that part about "Elders never going beyond the Bible".

Just one example of this should be enough to segue into my favorite mrtaphor about "eating at a fabulous banquet but finding the first fork you pick up encrusted in filth; would you still find the foos as appetizing?"
