Nimzo you use the word deluded to describe the people you find on a board such as this........or apostates.

Delude means to deceive the mind or judgement of..............

An apostate is one who abandons his religious faith..........nothing more nothing less..........it does not require that person to become a believer in the trinity.

If you are sincere you will listen and discuss the many reasons why people who use this board have chosen to stop being associated with the Jehovahs Witnesses.............the evidence they have that it is not the 'truth'........and the reasons why they felt they had been deluded whilst serving as a JW or even conned.

Many of us were raised as JWs............many of us served obediently and believed..........all of us have had our eyes opened and are no longer deluded!

Matthew 11:28-30—"Come to me..." He didn't lead us where? You are flatly wrong. But humorous in your "understanding" of the Bible. Of course, you are at a disadvantage. We don't have to stick to a specific way of understanding the Scripture, but you do.

I was a baptized JW for over 21 years. I aided 4 people to baptism and when I left I had aided yet another to the point of being an unbaptized publisher. I know your dogma, inside and out. It is seriously flawed.

"Exactly what kind of personal relationship can you possibly have with Jesus, given that you can't speak to him?" What Kind of question is this? How can you have a relationship with God, when you don't recognize the father? Jesus led is to the Father, he didn't lead us to himself. We always have a relationship with God and with Jesus Christ to what we pray about and to who we pray through.

So Jesus is reduced to your errand boy, running messages to his Father? Must be nice having a King, whose name is above every other name, for an errand boy. Of course, you can't talk to your Lord and Savior, who is your errand boy. That would be idol worship. But the angels, the four living creatures, and the 24 elders can all worship Jesus without censure. Only you, i.e. JWs, are forbidden. Tsk.

Stephen prayed that Jesus receive his spirit, even though Jehovah was right there. Please explain.

    Respectfully,
    AuldSoul

AK - Jeff Johannes Greber didn't influence the John 1:1 translation. Also, many translations and translators translate John 1:1 to a god or a divine being. Yes, well over 30 Bibles/Translations. eclipse Understand what I said - I said show me a verse!

    Hi Nimzo,

Just a quick point on delusion. I suffered greatly because I was hanging onto the delusion that JW’s had the truth. I have done myself such harm. If you look at a few post histories of others you will see many people have been in the same situation, going along with the org but inside they knew that something was wrong. You just have to look back at the ever changing history of the teachings of the society to realize that something is wrong. I know that it will be referred to as old light and Proverbs 4:18 will be quoted, but just read that scripture in context and you will see that it is just plainly misquoted.

We are not apostates as you think Nizmo. We are just people that have been mislead by a false religion. You need to look into it very deeply yourself, in areas that you are not allowed to question as a JW, and I am sure that you will see it. Open mindedness and honesty will expose it to you.

    I wish you well.

AK - Jeff Johannes Greber didn't influence the John 1:1 translation. Also, many translations and translators translate John 1:1 to a god or a divine being. Yes, well over 30 Bibles/Translations.

Please show me this. Do I have to pull out all the Society's quotes from Greber? - this has been done to death. Denial does not erase facts.

Also please note that not a single reference in the list above - no matter how official it looks - is from anything before the 15th Century AD.

AK - Jeff All pure assertions? You're saying all the bible researchers comments are all pure assertions? A lot of non-bias bible researchers will tell you that they aren't assertions. Its not a assertions, sorry.. Its a fact. Clearly, you just deny what information they found, and you reject the obviously. Typical apostate.

Hmmm... Nizmo please quote me scriptures which use the word "Apostate" and what those refer too?

fifi40 I know what apostate means, and I'm using it in the correct term. Yes, all apostates don't believe in the trinity, but they do turn back to false teachings. AuldSoul I'm saying Jesus didn't lead us to himself, meaning to glorify him.. He lead us to the Father.

I have a question about my religion. When people turn apostate, why do they seem kinda... weird.

I think it depends on your perspective. To me the WBTS is an obscenely wealthy publishing company and a cult. It is infested with paedophiles and causes untold suffering to its victims (aka JWs) with its nonsensical and vile shunning and blood policies. It is truly a boil on the arse of humanity. But hey that's just my opinion. Maybe I am a bit weird. ;-)
