I am for it..........In two months time my son went to 7 funerals (2 he was a pall bearer) .......all deaths from being intoxicated.

I don't want to be stopped and harrassed.......if that is what the roadblock is for......I am like Simon, I don't want to go through all that giving out info.

I don't care if they do. But If I drink just 1 beer, I'll feel uncomfortable.

Your papers PLEASE! ... Roadblocks smack of totalitarian tactics. Socialists, and most liberals love them. A man who would give up liberty for safety deserves neither. - 'Ole Ben must be spinning in his grave.

Hey, if you're not drunk, then why worry? Cops need only to camp out in PB and near SDSU. You can catch plenty of drunken young people in those places.

Hey, if you're not drunk, then why worry?

Same line of reasoning gets you "If you have nothing to hide, then why should you mind if the government reads your mail, or listens to your phone calls." I know most have been conditioned to think there is no problem with this, but trust me, there IS.

Besides cops are using these stops as "fishing expeditions," and revenue makers. They mostly give out tickets for seatbelt violations. (And since I'M the only person that is going to get hurt if I don't wear my seatbelt, why should the government care whether I do or don't?)

I understand the intentions behind the soberity stops, but just how random is random.

As Yogi Berra said: "It's so coincidental, it can;t be a coincidence".

I am of the school, prove probable cause first, then make a stop.

Please tell that to my cousin and his wife, her mother, and there two young children who were all killed by a drunk driver blowing through a light.

I am against it, I don't like having to be stopped just to prove that I ain't drunk nor have I been drinking, Its a waste of taxpayers money, they could be doing other things to help make the roads safer. I have been grilled a lot by the police at those check points, my eyes are red a lot and that immediately makes them suspicious. so its' hassle time.

Are you for it or against it? Just this year I had a drunk hit and run and wreck my car. That was pretty upsetting. Im for cops checking with road blocks. 2 things I dont like about it here in Florida. A 180 lb.man could get a dwi after drinking 2 beers. I would rather see it 4 or 5 beers. But its a business, the legal system. So, there gonna be as strict as they can. Good business for the lawyers. The other problem is they always announce where the road block is going to be. So they only catch the stupid drunks.

Mini, Jusy ask, " MADD " Mother's Against Drunk Drivers. It only becomes " Yes " when it becomes personal, that is you lost a member of your family or friend to a drunk driver. I believe that it can save lives. The life being saved just might be your own or a dear loved one. If we were able to see the raw pictures of the aftermat of such an accident caused by a drunk driver we would be very angry at that person to say the least.
