I was one of those victims. Believe me it was not "something out of nothing*. It isn't a "delight". It was tragic. And I certainly didn't have to create any controvery or make any mischief. I really do prefer the truth - the real truth and the whole truth.
The Society is well aware of any such problems and has the matter in hand and will comply with any legal changes that countries see fit to implement in order to remove this dreaded scourge from society and its families.
Well yes they are aware but prefered to sweep it under the carpet. It was honest-hearted people who cared for the safety of children and the cong that brought the problem out from under the carpet and forced the WTS to deal with the issue - sort of. If there are no laws enforcing reporting of the abuse the WTS will cover it up. The JWs will not be informed if there is a pedophile in their cong. They are not informed that they need to be very wary when a person has been convicted. They certainly aren't going to be warning about accusations that are made. If it can be hidden you can be assured they will keep it hidden.
Perhaps if countries did more to remove pornography from their citizens or educating the people according to Bible education then many such social evils would be minimized.
Do some real research. Pornography has nothing to do with child molestors. Silence about the problem and a history of abuse is a much greater predictor of whether a person will abuse a child. Out of the 9 men who abused me only 1 had any pornography.
The Society of Jehovah's Witnesses is the only group in the world that has committed itself by means of its organization, people and resources to international Bible education which seeks to bring good news of God's Kingdom as a permanent solution to the world's problems but to elevate the morals of people.
So they say. But given their track record of scandal, hypocracy, lies, half-truths, carpet sweeping, flip-flops, and speaking out of both sides of their mouths (evidence of all the above has been discussed here many many times) that there is nothing they can say that would get me to believe anything they say.
If apostates believe they have found a better good news or the Truth then they should energize themselves in doing the Lord's will at this time and do that work instead of throwing stones and mocking those who are doing the Lord's work.I might fully know what I beleive right now but I sure as anything know what I don't believe
