He claimed that he the elders arent allowed to dicuss it with the congregation, but that they are speaking about it amongst themselves. I knew him when he was appointed to an MS, and have been around him since then. If Sir82 doesnt deliver, I might be able to wedge an answer out of him (The elder i know).

I know (seriously) what it is . There are apostates in our midst

Wonder what they are going to recommend be done about this? I mean, witnesses already keep a pretty close eye on one another in order to determine who's good enough to associate with. I would imagine this would cause even more paranoia and judging. Hardly the spiritual paradise they claim JWs enjoy even in this imperfect system.

Of course, the bright side for the WTS is that it gives them an evil to rally 'round and focus on while they pretend that good old Satan is really, really targeting Jah's org in the hind end of these, the very last days.

Exactly my thought... If this is indeed the "Disturbing Information", they're setting themselves up for a witch-hunt. As if it wasn't bad enough already.

Trouble is, us so-called "apostates" are so damn good at leading a double life, the WTS can't track us.

Going to meetings and coming here is simply something I've managed to do for a considerable period of time. It's like learning to drive, once you've mastered it, you don't need to practise anymore.

It would be so fun if there were really some disturbing news. I need fresh material to talk about.

my thought, if it is disturbing, guess they mean disturbing to them, it would probably have to do with, cash flow, legal things (that in itself is always on their mind) or apostates.

I can't go to meetings and pretend to be a witness at the same time, once I found out what hypocrites WTS is then wouldn't that make ME a hypocrite to?

I don't want to read their propaganda...I don't want to know them anymore in a personal way.

Jesus will Judge the GB and those who knowingly mislead the sheep.

It probably DOES have something to do with the internet It wouldn't surprise me if some loyal JW's have technical jobs that allow them access to annonymous screen names on Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail etc. and have matched these up with members in the congregation. They may also have some clever hackers.

Although they won't be able to reveal their sources they will alert trusted local elders who in turn will search for opportunities to catch the suspected members in some sort of trap. Or they may simply remove elders or MS who are linked to apostate activity. They may not disfellowship them right away but they will turn up the heat to smoke them out.

The internet is their weakest link right now. It is a thorn in the side of every organization that tries to control access to information - governments, corporations (especially music, film, books, software), churches.

The internet is the greatest thing that has happened in my life time. Greater than walking on the moon, jet travel, television.

It's time for Simon to increase security around here. Maybe some may want to change their screen names. Might also be a good time for people to create their own archives of these boards. Simon may have to remove incriminating information for certain members and this could screw up some very important threads.

Apart from the usual porn/apostasy issues, I think the "disturbing trend" may include the blatant disregard of the WT doctrine.

I have been trying to convey this to the boys at brooklyn for over two years now. Seems they are finally realizing, thank god for us diligent apostates, just how corruptive the internet can be for such a controlling cult.

I look forward to the future days of revolt!

I would just love to go to a meeting and make this comment: This means that they have gotten "new light", which means that the "old light" was wrong, which means that they don't have direct connection to Jehovah.

I certainly am among those who are sincerely curious about what this may turn out to be, and I fully expect it will be yet another "no big woof" situation. I'll patiently wait until "the brothers" feel I am ready for this spiritual laxative.

I find the cracks in the Watchtower walls fascinating to observe. The gestalt can be surprising: view from the proper distance, sometimes it looks like a butterfly landing on a lava field, and other times it looks like a winged gryphon eating an eggplant parmigiana hero. Truly fascinating!
