  Announcement to be read following Watchtower Study during week of April 2, 2012

  Important notice to coordinator of the body of elders:

  This matter should be kept strictly confidential among the elders until the letter is read in your congregation. Please arrange for this letter to be read to the congregation following the Watchtower Study during the week of April 2, 2012. This will be same day as the special talk. If your congregation has the special talk on Saturday April 7, 2012, after reading this letter please inform the publishers to keep this information confidental and not to inform others who will have their meeting on Sunday April 8, 2012.

  Fewer pages or smaller dimensions? The WT has been in its current size since it was reduced in 1950.

  It is already pretty small. What would it be cut down to - A5? Sadly my Jw.org log-in doesn't work any more!

  Why would the magazine's change in size need to be kept confidential, even by one day? It's hardly world shattering news even for dubby land.

  CANTEAVE - In your post I see there is an announcement to be made on the week of April 2 and that it is to be kept confidential. . . but I can't see the actual announcement. . .

  Replacing public mags with something more tract-like is something I've been predicting for years but no one ever believes it. It's 2012 folks!

  Maybe it'll be a front and back type of one-page flyer. The front will have their magazine name, and the back will be a link to their web site.

  The only reason I can think of is that they want every piece of new info to come directly from them, directly from the KH, directly from a Elder from the platform, not through the grapevine. Probably a little control going on there.
