the great crowd, the other sheep will live forever on planet earth.. years will move from centuries, millennia, and millions of years to billions of years.
after 4 billion years, the sky will fill as their milky way galaxy and its neighbouring andomeda galaxy collide, with amazing changes in gravitational forces.
what an amazing sight!.
LOL.. I was talking to a friend (also a JW) not too long ago. Discussing evolution and the changes of the species, I proposed the following thought to him.. Does it really make sense that a God that loves diversity, would create all this animals and then expect the creation to remain static? What do we say about beautiful places like mountains? Truly most people will agree that they look incredibly beautiful on every season. We also know that the snow melts and the weather, earthquakes and the such are as much a destructive force, as they are a creative force. For this events have drastic effects on the planet. Never the less, the end result is always a beauty that is no better or worst than the previous landscape. Is always beautiful. The animal world is the same. The God that we preach could have not expected us to live forever to keep looking at the same monotonous world forever.
As expected, I got no answer, just a stare. But this guy is not dumb.. I know he understood.
been dwelling on this for a while.
was there any particular history on this or anywhere where the wt picked up someone else's doctrine?.
in most cases, the bible uses the word "disgusting thing" to refer to idols, idolatry and false religion.

In most cases, the bible uses the word "disgusting thing" to refer to idols, idolatry and false religion. Such will make more sense on the context of Revelation, specially as explained by JWs. The UN is man made institution with no inclination for having a deity of its own.
Any comments?
i was just watching cedars prank call to tomo3.
by the way lloyd very well done and totally funny.
but on a more serious note (and i think what must be of concern to the gb) are the amount of leaks that must be occurring at a senior level or at least by a person who has access to sensitive information.
i find articles like this (click very frustrating to read.
when i read reports on how charity was delivered, i am expecting to read numbers that will give me an idea of how money was used for such relief.
unfortunately, the information provided is simply not enough to provide any ball park idea of what was actually spent.
saw this article on slate.. it got me thinking - the wts are certainly providing lots of ammunition for spoofing.
talks about tight pants, singing trolleys, rubber faced buffoonery from lett...... what if we start encouraging jws to laugh at their leadership, instead of kowtowing in reverential awe?.
from the article:.
alert..............alert.....breaking news .......... john cedars of jwsurvey has pranked called governing body member anthony morris iii at bethel .
over 2 minutes of pranking .
as i type he is editing the recording into a video .
I am personally divided on this.
- In one side, I believe that, sure, the opportunity could have been used to confront him on better subjects. However, I do not think it would have gotten any further, neither he would have been dumb enough to fall for it. This people can perpetuate their positions because they are wise enough (provided their wisdom isn't used for good) not to fall for this things. They have years of experience doing this and I am pretty sure this is not the first time they get confronted. Having been asked the other questions that many here would have liked, he would have probably referred you to some other underling that would take on the dirty work. They may not be good with the bible or at financial decisions, but they are good scammers. They now what to say and when to say it or when to shut up. He hanged up the phone at the very right time. Would have he allowed himself to move further and the conversation would have gotten more serious, he would have not been able to get off the hook so easily. He most likely knew he was being recorded.
- In the other side, the call did not have a script. I am pretty sure Cedars has a pretty long laundry list of questions but he may have been surprised to even realize he got thru to him. I know I would and even if I knew exactly what I would have asked him, chances are the words would have not come out right. If this is not the case, I refer to my first point. Even if you were able to fool the guy into thinking you are indeed at Bethel, once the hard questions begin he would have probably referred you to someone else. As you can see from the initial conversation, the question over the laundry was what got him out of his domain. He was a bit caught by surprise and allowed to joke because he thought it was real. When the actual critic began, he needed some time to realize what he was getting into. Would have been hit directly with questions after he said "you shrunk them", then I doubt he would have been caught with his guard down.
Never the less, the chances of this ever making it to a WT article or yearbook are slim. Although not impossible, it would be easy for apostate relatives of JWs to show them the true story. Putting picture of demonstrations of angry people in front of assemblies for those who'd never seen one has a whole different effect. Once you actually get to see one, your mental picture is already there.
I am pretty sure Cedars, having given his name, would be probably receiving some legal documents over this. Even if it is just an attempt to scare him
