this was my first memorial thinking outside of the box.
last year i was starting to have questions but this is the first year i noticed a lot of bs.
can anyone clarify a few things for me?.

A long time friend of mine started pertaking back in 70. I was just 12 at the time.but some years later I ask him how he knew, and he told me a lot of stuff, seemed to make sense. Well he stopped a few years ago!
i have seen this over the years that some that get df'd and later reinstated can be the most hypocritical.
one case comes to find about my nephew who was df'd about 10 years ago for cupping a little feel of some dub sisters boobs.
well right away he turns to us non dubs for moral support as he is being ostracized by the dub relatives.
if you are willing to pay attention to the org's history and do any kind of unbiased personal research, it's impossible to miss ttatt.. watchtower's publication archive provides all the information anyone would ever need.where are all of the "half truths and outright lies" actually coming from?

why, oh why, back in 1989 when i first got hooked did i not do any research into the watchtower corporation?.
Sad thing on my part, I had everything the WT printed going back to the 1870, and read almost all of it. but like a good little sheeple, I accepted the light gets brighter story, HOOK LINE & SINKER!!!! I gave that whole collection away back in 1999, as I was packing up and moving away. I so wish i still had it all.
Looking back on just the things I remember I have to ask, WHY oh WHY did that not sound alarm bells!!!!!!!! I guess we got blinded by the light!!!!
maybe i'm late but i just discovered that elders now have an email service run on the jw.org domain name.. those emails might contain a treasure trove of very sensitive material regarding rape, molestation, pedophilia cases etc.. the cult keeps getting creepier and creepier.
why would they do that in this day and age, lots of damning stuff in one place?.
i was just invited.

i seldom hear of people getting df'd anymore.
years ago it seemed there were a few per year in a congregation.
I think more are keeping their mouth shut, out of fear of losing family and friends. And many others, just walk away!

today i walked up to a group of cart witnesses and picked up a watchtower.
i opened the watchtower up to the first page , and asked one of the witnesses if he had read it.. lie # 1... he said he read it.. i ask my second question to a woman witness sitting next to him , who by the way was hard to tear away from her cell phone..... "whats this watchtower about?
, "........ lie # 2 ... she said she read it , but forgot "exactly" what the main points were about..
50+ years in, countless wt's read. Most of them, two days later, I would be hard pressed to tell you what's in one!
Now if I were heading out in fs, a quick once over, would have refreshed my memory.
After reading a few million of them, faking it is easy too!

am i alone in this feeling?
i wish i could muster the cojones needed to tell my husband "i want a divorce, move away, not be a jw anymore!".
i find myself screaming these same words over and loud inside my mind, several times a day, and yet on the outside my actions could not be more opposed to these inner feelings.. sometimes i worry that this internal conflict will cause me to go crazy.
Oh so often I want to just pack up and go!
I love my wife, were very good together, but there is no chance she will leave the jw's behind, or even listen to anything being wrong with them!
I am stuck pretending, and it's so hard. I hate pretending to be anything except who I am! And walking on eggshells!
I want to get on with what's left of my life! I want to find out how real people live!
Yet, here I am stuck!

andrea montgomery was found guilty as charged on each of the 6 charges of child rape of her biological son, alan von webb, the oldest boy of four children.
today, many media people were there in the courtroom for the first time since the trial started.. the verdict came in about 3:30 p.m. which took time for the judge to read, etc., so i learned about it at 4 p.m. when the father of the four children, now young adults, called us.
one of the children has down's syndrome, and it's difficult to imagine, but he also was raped since a child by his mother.
