Survival of the fittest doesn't mean 'strongest'; it's my understanding that it is more like best able to adapt.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Cofty, but that's what I recall from school.
Great series of vids, and nice and short, like a PSA.
from the guys and girls at "it's ok to be smart".. stay curious!.

i just watched this clip on youtube....i can't begin to say how it made me feel.
, i'm not sure who i am more annoyed about.
the bloke doing the commentry, the punk shouting at a serious and should be respectful religious event, or some of the youtube comments that follow.. and i find this so disrespectful.
Some people have far too much time on their hands. Fools.
This is not constructive - what are they teaching?
Narrator: "Oh, see these sisters down here? They're laughing. They're thinking ..." "Oh, this sister has violence issues" "This guy just has his finger up to his face and he's thinking, oh ..."
T: What are you buddy, a mind reader?
Narrator: "They are so mentally diseased ... these are the kind of people that need chemical therapy ... in order to get by in life."
T: Un-frickin-believable. Perhaps you should look into some chemical therapy,. You are ridiculing people on the internet, after secretly videotaping them in the place of worship without their permission, and mocking them. You sound mean-spirited and bitter. You are NOT educating the public - you are making a fool of yourself. This is twisted.
i am sorry i haven't replied and if it seems rude.
but people keep asking me what happened and i am not sure what to say.
thanks for writing anyway.
That's a bit intrusive, isn't it? I got the impression that your personal business was just that.
I've felt the same way. Gotten heated, and felt that perhaps said things that were undignified. Guess what? We're all human, and we all have our dark side. Sometimes it pops out unexpectedly.
No respect lost here, and glad to see you back. You always have an interesting viewpoint, and honest.
This reminds me of my friends. :sparkling_heart:
They've all moved to other countries and provinces, but great memories! Especially the wine and food; those diapers look disposable, ie, hippies use cloth, of course! *grins*
EDIT: Note that she has a box AND a magnum. Wise, indeed. hehehe
a catchy little number this one!
curiously, this little known christmas song by perry como was actually the theme tune to the odessa file movie back in the 70's.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l1uddoh-yu.
so what have you got?.
For you, ShirleyW, and Merry Xmas. He was one in a million, and I grew up listening to his music. I love L-O-V-E the bestest.
omg.
i have the entire service group coming over for dinner on sunday.
i don't mind when my wife has a couple over that are cool, but with more than 2 or 3 extra people in my house i get nervous.
FTB - Wow, they really do that at a 'get-together'? Times have really changed since I was in (long, long ago). We had FUN when we partied .... skating parties, playing cards, dancing ... definitely no discussion of the assembly or singing Kingdom melodies. They really have no life at all, do they?
Good luck with the day, try not to let it get you down.

Landy - LOVE THE POGUES (or as my friend calls them, the Pogies).... thanks for posting this!
Shane MacGowan is recording again, but i haven't heard any of his stuff.
with the christmas almost upon us i would like to share a personal experience with you about drinking and driving.. as you may know the local police are having a serious go at drink drivers this year... well, a couple of days ago i was out for an evening with friends and had a small number of drinks before dinner, followed by some rather nice red wine.
feeling jolly i still had the sense to know that i may be very slightly over the limit.. that's when i did something that i've never done before - i took a taxi home.. sure enough on the way home there was a police road check, but since it was a taxi they waved it past.
i arrived home safely without incident.. this was a real surprise as i had never driven a taxi before, i don't know where i got it and now that it's in my garage i don't know what to do with it.. any ideas?.
Bouquets to you for telling your story. That took a lot of guts.
I had a friend who was refused entry because of a DUI, but in his state it is a criminal offense, so he needs to buy a pardon to get into Canada. I think you may be in the clear, as they check for criminal records online, so lesson learned. It cost you a lot in dollars, but lucky no one was hurt.
We all make mistakes; it's learning from them that matters.
so today i did it.
i cut my dish network programming to basic....$20 a month ty very much.
instead i have $60 streaming device that gives me everything i need.
Dagney, I started watching Orphan Black, the first season was pretty good.
