@ mmxiv "By donating blood an apostate would save a JW's life but JW's refuse to save an apostate's life. So who's the good Samaritan?"
Easy - and perfect reasoning. I never saw this point. thx.
this may be the wrong area for this but here goes.. if you went to a bank and told them " i don't have an account with you, i never will have an account with you and i will tell people you are a terrible bank" then ask not for a loan from them, but a gift of a lot of money, how do you think they would respond?.
yet, witnesses now have the the ability to take blood fractions from the blood bank without ever contributing to the blood bank.
there is a process that the blood bank takes just the plasma from a donor to be used for fractions only.

the watchtower magazine of november 1, 2009 includes the article: the bible - a remarkable story of survival.
for support, the article quotes three sources.. does the watchtower provide its readers with balanced information?
does the watchtower provide a full and frank account of each source that it holds up as evidence?.
thanks for your really deep study of this WT.

you'd think they could point to something right?
obviously we're the one true religion".. i can't fathom how anyone of any intelligence would be willing to join up with this org after doing even rudimentary research.. for years they have taught that it's wrong to seek advanced education or to plan for a "worldly" future by trusting in this system of things and then this past sunday the watchtower article rips on people for not planning for the future in regard to their elderly relatives.
maybe if they hadn't been teaching for 100 yr's that the end was "just around the corner" and telling us we'd better believe that fact...or else, we would have planned better for a future that you said without reservation would not even occur.. what mind blowing prediction can they point to that would convince someone "oh yeah..these guys have it right"...?.
"The value of such a discussion is best appreciated when we acknowledge that trials that come with age cannot be avoided. Still, we can make certain preparations and advance decisions. "

yesterday i was having a beer with a friend of mine who happens to be an accountant, and we began discussing this ridiculous arrangement that the watchtower has put in place.
after giving him the backstory of how the watchtower has been lending money to the local congregations and charging interest, he simply could not believe they had been doing that.. he then offered an explanation which really made sense to me.
he said that in reality what the watchtower society has been doing is actually not legal in light of their tax-exempt status.
@ venting Quote: " I don't agree with this new arangement. But I don't see the org. getting rich. I don't see the gov B driving Bentleys and building mansions. Doesn't the money get used to build halls and help the brothers? Don't get me wrong, I'm here because I'm not happy with things. venting."
If it is - like you say - and the GB has nothinh to hide, why they show us not a monthly or yearly report like the KH is doing?

what i am talking about is the march 15,2014 wt articles on aged and care for the elderly.i mean no disrepect to farts.actually farts are beneficial however, the resultant gawful smell stinks to high heaven.. ask these aged and elderly ones today what advice did they get in the sixies.did they receive any financial planning,pre-retirement advice, plan for medical costs, tax accountancy, debt recovery banking,etc..or you will never get old,no need for education, don't have childern the end is near.now they say the childern(which they weren't to have) have the responsilibity to take care of the elderly.. their advice is more like the resultant of a fart..
I am also a victim of the awake 69 and this wt 71 lies:

a few years ago avatar was 'demonized' by the wt.
in reality their argument had an extreme ignorance of hinduism and a poor knowledge of modern langauge (avatar means something else nowadays.... ).
but anyway when i was growing up my parents recorded the 4 supermen movies on to video tape as they were played on tv.
JW.ORG says: http://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/do-jehovahs-witnesses-ban-certain-entertainment/
Last sentence: " Outside the family, however, no one is authorized to ban specific films, songs, or artists as being unacceptable for members of the congregation."
And JW.ORG has the "truth". If we would ask the JW press officer - he would say: "in JW land there are no unofficially rules about films".
i have heard from reliable source that this summer's conventions will feature video of various gb members as they speak and announce releases.
the regional (as opposed to the international conventions) will have numerous video monitors all around.
anyone else heard about this?.
so the next time you are in a group of witnesses and discussion about a sad event where people died occurs (such as a car accident, natural disaster etc), just casually say:.
" oh well, that's a few less people jehovah has to kill at armageddon.....so don't be upset!...at least they now get a resurrection".
that will make witnesses think!.
@ Wild_Thing asked: " "witnessing from door to door", it was to "separate the sheep from the goats" and of course, the goats would be destroyed. Has this changed?"
Yes - "separate the sheep from the goats" will be done by Jesus during the great tribulation.
*** w13 7/15 pp. 6-7 pars. 11-13 “Tell Us, When Will These Things Be?” ***
11 In the mid-1990’s, The Watchtower reexamined Matthew 25:31, which states: “When the Son of man arrives in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne.” It was noted that Jesus became King of God’s Kingdom in 1914, but he did not “sit down on his glorious throne” as Judge of “all the nations.” (Matt. 25:32; compare Daniel 7:13.) However, the parable of the sheep and the goats describes Jesus primarily as Judge. (Read Matthew 25:31-34, 41, 46.) Since Jesus was not yet active as Judge of all nations in 1914, his judgment of people as sheep or goats could not have started in that year. When, then, will Jesus’ judgment begin?
12 Jesus’ prophecy about the last days reveals that he will for the very first time act as Judge of all nations after the destruction of false religion. As mentioned in paragraph 8, some of the events that will occur during that time are recorded at Matthew 24:30, 31. When you examine those verses, you will note that Jesus there foretells events that are similar to the ones he mentions in the parable of the sheep and the goats. For example, the Son of man comes with glory and with angels; all tribes and nations are gathered; those judged as sheep “lift [their] heads up” because “everlasting life” awaits them. Those judged as goats “beat themselves in lamentation,” realizing that “everlasting cutting-off” awaits them.—Matt. 25:31-33, 46.
13 So, then, what can we conclude? Jesus will judge people of all nations as sheep or goats when he comes during the great tribulation. Then, at Armageddon, the climax of the great tribulation, the goatlike ones will be ‘cut off’ forever. How does that understanding affect our view of our ministry? It helps us to see how important our preaching work is. Until the great tribulation begins, people still have time to change their thinking and start walking on the cramped road “leading off into life.” (Matt. 7:13, 14) To be sure, people may now display a sheeplike or a goatlike disposition. Nevertheless, we should remember that the final judgment of who are sheep and who are goats is during the great tribulation. Therefore, we have good reason for continuing to offer as many people as possible the opportunity to listen to and respond to the Kingdom message.
